After DJ Z-Trip and Shepard Fairey (the guy responsible for the image on the right) threw some fundraisers for the Obama campaign, DJ Z-Trip decided to put the mix he's been playing during the parties online for everyone to share. That's how the Obama Mix Pt. 1 (2008) came to life.

When Obama won the presidential elections, DJ Z-Trip was contacted by MoveOn.org. They asked him to create another mix for their email blast they were doing before the inauguration. “Victory Lap: The Obama Mix Pt. 2” is DJ Z-Trip's way of congratulating everybody for electing Obama to the office.

"We made history and I'm proud to be a part of that. Yes, my friends, it is time to celebrate, but please don't lose sight of the mess we are still in, there is plenty of work that lies ahead" says DJ Z-Trip.

Even though the campaign is over and the inauguration has past, let's spend few more minutes remembering the hopeful & exciting times of the last years' US presidential elections. Now it is all hard work Mr. President! Don't let us down - yes, we still can!

For those who were really not too happy with the election results - be open minded - take a peak - it is a great mix of music and political speech that documents this undoubtedly historical event.
