Lisa Richards shares her love of music to everyone by distributing her album via torrent download. With an instantly identifiable vocal timbre and an elastic sense of phrasing, Lisa has been called a singer's singer. When you first listen to her voice, you will realize that it's soft and cold (in a very good way), but then it's subtly relaxing and definitely original. A melting pot mixture of jazz, folk, blues, pop, rock and country - honest, original, accessible music - her own brand of adventurous folk art - that's the music of Lisa.

Born an Australian, now based in Austin, Texas, Lisa offers her 4th album, Mad Mad Love, as a free music download to her listeners. This talented woman has been acclaimed by a number of organizations such as The Billboard Song Contest, the Telluride Bluegrass Festival, the Rocky Mountain Folks festival, The Chris Austin Song-writing competition at Merlefest and The Kerrville Folk Festival’s New Folk Competition.

Lisa Richards and Mad Mad Love on FrostWireShe recorded Mad Mad Love throughout several months in New York and Texas, and had worked with 4 producers to give you the best of her music.

The CD explores the subject of Love in all it's many splendid and not so splendid forms from the personal to the universal, the earthly to the planetary.

Mad Mad Love includes two cover songs: 'Satellite of Love', originally by Lou Reed, and 'Rags and Old Iron', originally by Nina Simone. Although these are cover songs, Lisa managed to put her own style in these classic songs which are sure to capture your aural experience.

The result of all this is an honest, rapturous, infectious, earthy, edgy, catchy collection of love songs delivered in a voice that evokes comparisons and yet defies pigeonholing.

Listen to it when you're in love. Listen to it when you want to be in loved. Listen to it when you are loved. Listen to Mad, Mad Love and experience love in many different ways.

Not sure if you're asking, or if you're praising (or putting it down).

But Lisa Richards reminds me of the music they play on the iPhone/iPod commercials.

As for the genre goes, it shows up at the top (in case you were asking)
