We did a lot of fixes on the core, we upgraded how FrostWire connects and downloads, which makes it faster to perform search, downloads and uploads. We fixed bugs that impeded frostwire to connect to certain routers, and we added technology so that FrostWire keeps trying in many different ways to keep a fast connection to the p2p network. This version is also ready for a new chat service that we're either implementing or it can also plug to an existing big chat network, this still needs to be decided.

We've been working (but not for this release) on integrating libtorrent to our core. We managed to compile the libtorrent libraries under 300kb (unlike LimeWire 5 5mb libtorrent wrapper) but it'll take a while until we upgrade it. We're also expecting the activity on the libtorrent code base to slow down a little, it seems like it's still not quite there yet judging by the amounts of fixes that go by daily on their codebase.

I read somewhere that Frostwire was working on some torrent enhancements. Were these included in this update and, if not, when might they be included?
