M-Dot: Making Doubters Over Think

After only four months since his last release ('Money Doesn't Own Thought'), Hip Hop artist, M-Dot is back with a brand new album, ‘Making Doubters Over think’. Initially, I have to admit that I rarely listen to this genre of music; however, in saying this, I also have to confess that I have thoroughly enjoyed this album. Furthermore, the fact that M-Dot is the winner of the 2010 Boston Music Awards "Hip-Hop Artist of the Year" and winner of the 2010 Boston Phoenix "Best Hip Hop Act," comes as no surprise. To put it bluntly, this dude is bad-ass. These titles are well deserved and the talent in which he exhibits is highly prevalent within ‘Making Doubter’s Over Think’.

FAAST: Flexible Action and Articulated Skeleton Toolkit

Geeks, gamers and everyone in between have been buzzing about the new "hacked" Kinect being used to play the lord of all RPGs, World of Warcraft. Scratching your head? Up until recently, we were too. Developed by a team from USC Institute for Creative Technologies, FAAST takes Kinect and allows users to play Warcraft using hand and body gestures. You can lean forward to make Garrosh, Thrall and company run; swipe your left hand in the air to move the camera or raise your hands to fire on a target. This Flexible Action and Articulated Skeleton Toolkit is revolutionizing the gaming world as we speak. Developers aren't stopping there. The team hopes to squeeze more from this free Kinect "middleware." One thing's for sure, it's about time there's technology that will get WoW players off their asses.

Moon & Sun: The Wild Things

Moon & Sun is actually Swede songwriter and artist, Monica Tormell. Extending her artistic capabilities well into music; she manages to create a dreamy and relaxing folk pop album. The Wild Things is a short record that captures a feel good ambiance and folk pop sound. The artist sought to capture moody and lonesome atmospheres in every single place where she recorded the album. The result is a compilation that hops from one dreamworld to another. Filled with soothing and sometimes, haunting vocals; it creates a mild nostalgia that reminds listeners of full moon nights in the woods or by the seashore. Perfect background album if you feel like jumping from one dreamland to another at the comfort of your home.

Kellee Maize – Hasta Abajo (All The Way Down)

One of FrostClick's favorite artists, Kellee Maize, has just released a single from her upcoming album, Integration. Known around as THE female rapper (try googling it!), her last release "Aligned Archetype" has been downloaded over 300k and has reached #1 on Amazon MP3s downloads. Hasta Abajo (All The Way Down) adds a new spin to Kellee Maize sound with new reggaeton beats complementing her, as always, thoughtful and well written lyrics. To top all that, the music video is top quality as well.

Spelunky

Derek Yu does it again. Spelunky is a probably one of the rare indie games that deserve to be sold commercially rather then played for free. It's a fun, adventure game where you play well, a spelunker; exploring caves and looking for loot. Spelunky is a game that's fit for hardcore gamers and those who can catch up to the humor in Derek Yu's games. It's definitely a game worth getting yourself lost in.

Kleinfelter: Kleinfelter

As Kleinfelter, the group released this 6 track record. It's filled with intelligent math rock cuts that are filled with awesome rock swells and faded vocals. These Chicago natives certainly know how to create music that sticks. Filled with noise, progressive elements and calculated rock, the album takes you on a trip to the unknown and back. Musically, the guys incorporate different elements into their sound. From hard rock, prog and even punk, the sound merges into a coherent sound that satiates any alternative indie rocker out there.

La BlogothequeTake Away Show (Les Concerts à Emporter)

Gravity Bone

Gravity Bone is a short game that features a tale of espionage, fun and gorgeous graphics and gameplay that clocks in at, more or less, 20 minutes. However, despite this short game time, the game provides great depth in characters and actually works great in sucking you into its own world. Follow and complete all the mission objectives as a secret agent and complete all stages of the game, yes, all two levels of it.
