StrangeZero are in fact SteliosZero and Io-V from Greece. Their music is a wonderful combination of electronic sounds strongly influenced by the good days of Harthouse and Eye Q., strong acid 303 trips and experimental ambient sounds. While they already released some of their recordings on many commercial CDs by Sony BMG and TSOE, they are also keeping with the tradition by making five of their albums and two EPs available as a free download under the Creative Commons license. What separates StrangeZero and their latest EP Future is a Choice You Make from others is the level of quality and the professional production that will surely keep you listening.

On their Facebook page, Chicago band Singing In The Abbey describe their sound as Thom Yorke meets Julie Andrews. I can see where they are coming from. On Winter Demos there is a dramatic theatrical flair that is balanced by the strings and indie pop structure.

Annie Higgins plays piano and sings; she has put this band together centered around her piano and songs and is joined by Donna Milleron on cello and vocals, Katie Cooperon on violin and vocals and the lone guy, Jason Toth on percussion.

The Mural and the Mint started out as a pet project by Philly songwriter, Michael Kiley. Today, the current roster for the band has expanded to include Eliza Jones, Jebney Lewis, Joshua Ramey and Corey Duncan. The group has released several records so far and each one is made available for free download online. According to the guys, releasing their records for free is the only way for them to be heard as music, and not as products in today’s culture.

Taking a cue from pop oriented indie rock, these Philly natives bring a beautiful mix of melodies, interesting rhythms, sweet vocal work and catchy music to serenade its listeners.

With only few days after its release, Terra: The Legend of The Geochine is already creating buzz in the indie gaming world. Of course, finding out that it hails from the doors of DigiPen adds to its prestige.

If graphics are anything to go by, you can tell just by looking at that screenshot to the left, that it's gonna be a real treat. The student developers didn't skimp on the gameplay and storyline as well. This amazing puzzle game is definitely worth looking into. It provides enough of a challenge and gives players a fresh take on solving puzzles.

Creating his own mark in the hip hop scene, D'Lyfa Reilly is a young rapper from Manchester, UK. Heavily influenced by life and various people surrounding him, the artist creates a mix of rap and trip hop sprinkled with moody beats and lyrics.

D'Lyfa is also co-founder of  Red IQ, a hip hop group out of Manchester. As a solo artist, you can expect plenty of laid-back beats, solid rhythms and trippy sounds all over his tracks. Most of it is pretty likable especially if you like British infused hip hop.

Sewing Seeds is actually a compilation of tracks the artist recorded and released between 2009 and 2010.
