Circle, as its developer Hawthorne Labs puts it, is like Facebook and Twitter but for your local area. With this app you can stay in touch with your friends and the important folks in your community and your city anywhere you are. By using Circle you’ll be able to share views and opinions with your closest friends and those people that matter to you.

Aside from sharing and keeping in contact with your friends, the app will also keep you abreast on the latest news, weather and events near your city. Circle is basically a location based social network app that utilizes GPS to link people together. You can connect Facebook to the app as well making finding your friends a breeze. The app is very easy to use and the interface is as simple as it gets. There is a tab for your friends and another for people Circle thinks you ought to know.

Setting up Circle is just as easy. Once you connect to Facebook your friends list and their locations are imported and from that list Circle will produce relevant people from that same general location. You can message people and check out their profile as well.

The default setting works fine but if you want to make changes you can do so by tapping your username will bring up the options. Here you can change your profile and link up to other networks if you want to. Circle is well designed, and as a discovery, location and social app, and works great.
