Wave Editor is not just easy but fast too and it’s accurate. There are a lot of useful features, chief among them is the simplified audio block selection while playing. The editing is non-destructive, meaning you can affect changes to a file without damaging the original audio file. In other words you can keep the original file and still experiment.

There are several supported formats including WAV, mp3, wma, pcm, GSM61 and many others. Basic features like copy, paste, delete and cut are available here. Other features you would expect from a high quality audio application like 8 and 16 bit samples, mono and stereo channel support and 8000 Hz to 96000 Hz sample rate are all found here.

Besides the standard functions like cut and paste, you can also insert silence in an audio file and also perform other functions like unlimited Undo/Redo, Reverse/Invert, save a fragment, fade in, fade out and more. For all of its features and options, Wave Editor is surprisingly easy to learn to pick up.

Wave Editor compatible with Windows XP and up, and it can handle audio files up to 2 GB so there is plenty of flexibility here. The program is updated frequently but there’s an auto updater so you don’t have to manually check the application yourself.
