Racing Penguin, Flying Free, courtesy of Top Free Games, is a physics based sidescroller that is deceptively simple but a lot of fun. The objective here is straight forward – make sure your penguin doesn’t end up as the bear’s lunch. In other words, it’s all about running.
The game features a cuddly little penguin who doesn’t yet know how to fly consistently, and compounding his problems is there is a giant, hungry bear after him. Now you have to control the penguin and help him run and slide his way before the bear gets to him. While the penguin cannot fully fly, it can flap its wings and fly short distances provided it has been able to slide a bit.
For this reason, you need to make certain that your slides are timed correctly so the penguin can take off. In addition, you need to watch out for those ditches. If you go fast enough though, you will get enough stars that will allow you to enter other levels. There are 24 levels in Racing Penguin scattered in three worlds, so there is plenty to see and explore here.
The gameplay is very simple and yet it is still fun, and the graphics are pleasing to the eye. The sounds are amusing, and the music that accompanies the game is enjoyable as well.
