8 Ball Pool is a pool game where you can fine tune your skills and then challenge the best out there. Courtesy of developer Miniclip, 8 Ball Pool sports some very nice graphics and comes with plenty of engaging gameplay options, including one on one and tournaments.

You can play as a guest, which doesn’t require any registration, or you can join as a member of Miniclip or using your Facebook account. When you’re in you can play with random players or set up a game with your friends. There are five levels in the game, Las Vegas, Tokyo, London, Moscow and Sydney.

To play the round you have to pay the entrance fee using the game’s currency. If you win you get double what the entrance fee was, and you can play in other rounds. Losing means losing some coins, but you will still have some money left. Game controls are pretty easy, as you just use your finger to adjust the stick’s angle. A line for the cue ball’s trajectory will appear and another one for the ball.

When the settings are where you like it, pull on the power meter and hit the cue ball. You have 30 seconds to complete a shot, and if you take longer you’ll forfeit the turn and the other player can put the cue ball anywhere on the table. Finally, the game has about 4,000 players and counting, so you won’t be lacking in opponents. The bottom line is if you like pool, you will love this game.
