Tiny Dice Dungeon is a free to play RPG from Kongregate, and it does a great job implementing the free to play format. Aside from the engaging gameplay, the creature designs are exceptional, and the art is very good as well. If you love classic games, the visuals will impress.

The gameplay in Tiny Dice Dungeon is something RPG gamers will be familiar with as it is based on dice rolls. You just roll the dice, and you get attack points from the results of your throw. You use these to do damage, but if you roll a one you’re going to forfeit your turn and it will be your opponent’s turn.

The first to lose their health 100% loses so there’s risk. However, Tiny Dice Dungeon is very engaging and there’s plenty of humor and references to video games and pop culture here. Aside from the cool graphics and the humor though, the combat system is very well done. For instance if you over roll, that is you inflict more damage to your opponent than their health can deal with, you’ll get extra health points.

This opens plenty of opportunities for players. If you’re going fight a boss and you’ve taken a beating, you can roll the dice and try your luck at getting a health boost. But this is just one of the things that make Tiny Dice Dungeon a very engaging game. If you’re looking for an RPG game to sink your teeth into, this is it.
