Warhammer 40,000: Space Wolf is a squad based strategy card game, and publisher Hero Craft has done a good job with the gameplay and the visuals, as it gives the table top game a new look. The game requires an Internet connection, and as a turn based strategy game is pretty good.

The basics of this game aren’t difficult to understand. All the members of your team come with a set of cards full of actions and gear that can be used. Your team battles enemies in turn based fashion until you achieve the goal set at the beginning of the map or you die.

Each of these maps comes with a major objective as well as secondary ones that can earn you a lot of bonuses that will prove helpful. When a member of your team is required to act, they are given a card from which they choose an action. In most levels your squad gets to use two cards.

However, the majority of those cards has dual purposes and can be used for weapons as well as movement. There is also a lot of depth in the system, and the effort stat tells you whose turn is next. There’s a lot involved in the turn process, but it’s not something you won’t be able to figure out.

The gameplay is engrossing, and you can control the camera and move in case something is getting blocked. The controls are easy to learn too, making this a fine addition to your game collection.
