Metal Skies from Kabam takes you back to World War II where you engage in dogfights. Unlike other complicated flight simulators, you can get straight into the action with a single touch, and you can choose from a wide array of planes and customize them, and that’s just for starters.

In Metal Skies you play a fighter pilot who’s been recruited to the Tiger Squad, and your objective is to take down the Shadow Jaegers. Metal Skies is at heart a dogfight game, and your plane is equipped with plenty of guns and weapons to take down the opposing planes.

The game, as pointed out earlier, gives you the opportunity to upgrade your plane, and you will need it as the battles become harder as the game progresses. The more enemy planes you beat the more coins you’ll be able to collect. You will need thee coins to buy equipment to upgrade your plane.

There are two modes, campaign and multiplayer. Campaign has numerous missions and tells the story of your character as you progress in the Tiger Squad. The multiplayer mode on the other hand, is about battling other players. Either way, the controls are very and easy, and the gameplay doesn’t get old or repetitive at all.

The graphics are very nice and so are the sound effects, and the dodging mechanism is easy to figure out. Going through the missions is another matter, though, and you need to be on your toes all the time. Bottom line is Metal Skies is a fun game.
