Games developer Ketchapp has become known for their casual games with simple concepts yet are maddeningly difficult to play, and Twist is their latest offering. The objective is simple: jump the ball on the rotating platforms for as long as you can, and it’s as frustratingly addictive as you expect.

This is basically a platform game where the objective is not to fall. Tap the screen to jump and try not to fall off the rotating platforms, that’s really all there is to the controls, but just like other endless platform games, there are ways to try and advance. The first thing you need to do is focus on the ball and nothing else; don’t look up your score or think of the items you can unlock as that could affect your handling of the ball.

It also helps if you try and jump near the edge of a platform so you can reach the next one, but you also have to be mindful of the gaps that you don’t fall off. And when you do get on a platform, make sure to get off quickly as possible because they’re constantly rotating.

Twist sounds difficult and at first it really is, but that’s also what makes it a lot of fun. Even if you die a hundred times you will want to come back for more, and the more you play the game, the faster you will develop a rhythm and manage to last longer. Overall, Twist is right up there with the most addictive casual games.
