Microsoft Word Flow Keyboard is one of the best keyboard apps today. It is ergonomic, easy to use and comes with many customization options. The most striking element of the app is its Arc mode that allows you to type with one hand, but don;t worry there is much more.
To use the app, go to your phone’s settings, tap Add New Keyboard, choose Hub Keyboard and give it access to your OS. This isn’t difficult to do because when you install the app, it launches a slideshow that explains how it’s done. After showing how to use the globe key to use Word Flow, you’ll choose a theme, and you can also go to your camera roll to pick an image to use as background.
Word Flow allows you to input words via Shape Writing, wherein you slide your fingers through the word’s letters which the keyboard app predicts. There’s no need to type spaces either, and when you type a green line appears, displaying your finger’s path.
The Arc mode makes it easy to type with one hand, and you just need to swipe the curved arrow at the top right or left, and the keyboard assumes a curved shape. The keys are smaller in Arc mode but typing is faster and easier, and most of the time the word predictions are right on the mark.
The Microsoft Word Flow Keyboard is a very useful app, and it won’t take long before you’ll notice improvements in your typing speed. It’s free so there’s no harm in trying and you might just like it.
