Buffer is a social media app that lets you post to Facebook, Twitter, Google Plus, LinkedIn and Pinterest at the schedule you set. You don’t have to schedule each post since the app does it for you. Instead of choosing a particular time for each post, Buffer has default time slots for the post, but of course you can also customize these.
First you need to sign for a free account, and you can do this with the Buffer app or the browser plugins. Once you’re registered, just add the social media profiles you want to schedule posts for. There is a dashboard where you can set the post schedule, post, adjust settings and other data.
The Analytics tab displays your most recent posts and those that you have scheduled. You’ll also see the links each post gets, the best performing posts and other engagement statistics. You can also filter by most popular, least popular or view all the posts.
Once you’ve customized the settings, Buffer automatically sends the posts out. What’s nice about Buffer is the default settings are those when people are most active on those social networks. However, your followers may be active at different times of the day, so being able to change the settings helps.
Go to the Content tab to manually change the settings. If you’re using the mobile app or the browser, all it takes is a tap or click of the mouse. The extensions for Firefox and Chrome just require to make one click and the post is automatically added.
