Casual games can be hit and miss, but Spiral from Ketchapp is a hit. The rule with casual mobile games is they have to be easy to get into and will have you playing again and again. Like most casual games, Spiral is very hard to master, but that is part of the fun.

The goal is simple. There is a cylinder with an endless path around it. You control a ball that descends on the path. You have to jump over the obstacles that appear on the path and collect the gems. You tap the screen to make the ball jump. When you complete a level, the theme changes and you do it again..

It sounds easy, but it is actually difficult to pull off. The key here is timing because if you don’t tap at the right time, the ball will hit the obstacle and it’s game over. Just like with other casual games, it’s going to be difficult to master. You can’t be too fast or too either. While Spiral is challenging, it’s a lot of fun to play. This is the type of game you play in short bursts anyway. If you have played other casual games before, you’re going to like Spiral for its simplicity.

Spiral is a cool looking game. Its design is minimal, but the quality is very high, and the one touch mechanism is nice. You’re going to lose several times here, but the addictive nature of the game will have you coming back for more.
