Continuing on with their tradition of releasing one compilation per month, the Birdview crew is at it again with their June release.

June EP is a huge set consisting of 22 tracks, mixed and done by some of the best underground producers all over the world. They each contribute to create and release a free album for fans of underground, experimental, techno, dub and hip hop to name a few.

This June compilation features the same fresh and innovative sound; something you would expect from talented producers and mixers.

Expect a mix of tastes to mingle in this great compilation. There are strictly dancefloor made tunes on here while at the same time, you’ll find tracks that are more suited for a quiet retreat to your rest house.

If you’re the type who prefers to pick out individual tracks in compilation records, rest assured, you’ll find a lot of great ones to add on your playlist from this album.

Infectious from Rootkit, is set up as a staple on the dancefloor. The young producer (only 14) hails from Norway and is a new addition to the Birdview crew. Maximoe’s Yester and To, provide a smooth hip hop feel that’s perfect for laid-back listening. On the other hand, Far From Me from Aether is another cool cut to bookmark while chilling out.

The Birdview project was initially started in February 2012 by producers/musicians, Rylee Rabbit, Forrest Blunt and Ryddim. So far, they’ve stuck to the plan of creating a free downloadable release each month. June E.P., is a great compilation that you should grab. You can also check out their more recent releases on their BandCamp page.

The Aerial is a four band group that plays electronic, dance, pop, and fusions of rock guitars and dance beats. These combined with their French descent produces and create an impeccable new school genre of music.

Clarity kicks it off with a lively and vibrant set of instrumental sounds that immediately sets the compilation’s mood and tone. The vocals are fast, high pitched and very catchy. Kick It Up follows with a consistent percussion beat that boosts your inner dance jive and playful side.

Ticking Hearts perfectly intertwines the band’s charming singing ability with acoustic rhythms and sensations.

The four track album wraps up with Losing My Head, probably saving the best among the rest for last. It features the element of RnB rapping with a little bit of reggae influence on the sides.

The Aerial promises a lot and is really full of talent and potential. Give them more time to hone their craft and you’ll be damn sure they will flourish and succeed.

Set the cliches aside for a moment as Florrie‘s Introduction EP bursts with vibrant sonic oddness. The 22-year old singer, songwriter, drummer, and guitarist treats us with edgy riffs, stomping beats, and an elite musical taste.

Growing up in Bristol, England, Florrie Arnolds grew up loving music. At the age of 7, she had already played the drums and at 16 years old, she left her home town to make music in London. She started her career as an in-house drummer at Xenomia playing for some records of Girls Aloud, Pet Shop Boys, and Kylie Minougue. After several years of drumming, the artist finally switched as a front woman.

Call of the Wild opens up with a handful of raw energy transformed into an upbeat electro rock ensemble. Upon listening, one thing that stood out is the track’s clean production signifying that this girl really knows what she’s doing. Repetitive beats added with Florrie’s layered vocals will surely the listener a steady psychedelic high.

Following with rapid drum beats, Give Me Your Love sheds an eccentric vibe. Press play and let this adrenaline-filled song jumpstart your morning. A personal favorite, Summer Nights is the perfect party anthem. Its trippy and snazzy attitude crafts the right mood for steady dancing without polluting the ears.

Left Too Late wraps up in a downtempo piece with a slow and sexy vibe. Florie’s vocal shines through as it swirls in the heart of the song, raising this piece into the upper echolons of chill electro music.

With only four tracks, this is serves as an entry-point for new fans and an air of respect for old ones. In this album, Florrie Arnolds has proven that she is someone that stands out from the crowd. With currently three EPs and a steady global fan base, Florrie is a modern recording artist that’s ready to give her listeners their finest moments.

Benjamin Briggs is super electronic and he proves that in his latest EP Attention Deficit.

Hailing from Danville, Illinois, Benjamin is the complete package–from composition, arrangement, mixing/mastering, and remixing– this independent artist holds the record for extreme versatility.

Too Soon approaches with a steady club vibe. Electronic tunes with some melodic video game remixes will give you a steady psychedelic high.

Following with sporadic beats and melodic twists, Benji Needs a Lawyer is a slower dance track. I personally like how each element is introduced one by one that in the end, you get a plethora of instrumentation in one musical piece.

Experimenting on pure video game sounds, Troll 4 Life traverses in between a fun and club dance aesthetic. Love The Game, on the other hand, has a deep and edgy mood splashed with some glowing harmonies.

I’m Nobody (feat. Cornelius Rawness) seals up the album with some positive vibes. Upbeat and jumpy harmonies perfectly blend with well-delivered vocals.

All in all, Attention Deficit EP is something you’d want to play to shoo those gloomy days away. Benjamin Briggs has successfully produced a collection that showcase his brand and entertain a wide variety of listeners.

Working with all of our promo artists has been a true pleasure and a lesson in determination and will to succeed. Most of them are truly independent, working solo to write, record & promote their music. It takes a special type of a person to pierce through the millions of wanna-bes & be noticed in todays music business. We think that the artists we’ve promoted are truly on a verge of making it big! And that doesn’t mean getting “signed” any more [although a few of them already did..] – that means having millions of fans around the world who will be there sharing the heck out of their creative commons licensed music, contributing big to their Kickstarter campaigns for new albums, buying their limited edition signed merchandise and coming to their concerts.

For more awesome music out our last year’s compilation & follow us on Facebook and Twitter!

We’ve been reviewing free music downloads for you since 2008. We think we’ve been doing a pretty good job curating the content we present to you every day. Nonetheless, we recognize that the Internet is a wide universe of content no one very small team can effectively canvas. If you think you know an artist that’s worth reviewing/promoting, pls write to us at kademlia or natalie @frostwire.com. Just remember the download needs to be free and preferably under a Creative Commons license so it’s absolutely clear the artist wants us all to share their work.

Thanks to all and happy sharing in 2013!!

Easystreet combines flawless arrangements with haunting instrumentation in International Superstar. This electro dance album features ten tracks that are perfect anthems for your most glittering life moments.

Hailing from San Francisco, Easystreet is composed of Micheal Blitzen (vocals) and Velvet Chang (synths/machine/beats). Upon listening to the duos music, there are evident traces of the early 80s disco pop, and the raw energy of rave and punk rock.

International Supernatural welcomes with an almost empty chime-like sound, slowly building to a jungle electro beats. The touch of subtle, ghostly vocals results in a gloomy but attractive atmosphere.

There is a gentle uplifting of mood in More Than A Machine (To Me), an upbeat track with a disco/punk sensibility. Press play and let its quirky sound treat your ears.

Taking on a club vibe, GoldTheme is the perfect party anthem. The natural rhytm of the song is upbeat and soothing enough to give you a psychedelic high on the dance floor. Love Can’t Make Me Cry, on the other hand, showcase a fusion of big beats combined with an eccentric instrumentation. Blitzen’s vocal sounds really sexy hear as he lingers on every perfect note.

Tracks like Robotobahn, Rocket Vacation, and Long Nights Hard Nights takes disco music to another level. I love how Chang twist, tweaks, and overhaul conventional tunes into something sonically brilliant.

Lastly, the duo closes up the album with Red Light Fantansy. Rapid drum beats and ethereal vocals create an interesting and dynamic mix that are edgy, modern, and smooth.

All in all, Easystreet is not your ordinary band next door. This duo offers a lot of talent and a unique musical flavor. In International Supernatural, they have proven that they are brave enough to test foreign waters and made something brilliant out of it.

NazcarNation isn’t really a band about racing or anything like that, instead they’re an electronic indie pop chillwave trio that creates pulsating and catchy tracks.

Founded in 2008 by Chris Wargo and Craig Robert Smith, the band first started out back in LA. Drummer/multi-instrumentalist, Mark Balane, soon joined in and they ended up recording most of the tracks on the EP.

Skillfully fusing hip hop, ambient, and electronica; theirs songs have a midtempo chill out beat that’s easy on the ears.

Fusing elements of ambient, pop and dubstep, the album is a hot mix of genres that create one giant pool of interesting sounds.

The 5-track EP opens with an almost two-minute intro called, The Swell. With lush synths, a host of basal beats and a catchy overall rhythm; it sets the mood just right for the rest of the compilation. More than anything, it gives the listeners a heads up on what to expect.

Destiny Intro, on the other hand, spins with a poppier beat, including melodic vocals worked in with dance beats and synths. This whole genre-bending is prevalent in the record. Meanwhile, Trust Fall, adds a nice dance beat to a track that best belongs in a Caribbean beach cruise. It’s a cut  fit for endless summer nights spent partying like no tomorrow.

If you love electro dance pop, NazcarNation’s got you covered with this EP. It has catchy beats and a nice blend of sounds worth enjoying. It won’t break any records but you’ll find some good times associated with this one. Give it a listen and grab the download.

Listening to Palette Town is like getting lost in a world where Pokemon’s and quirky comic books come to life.

Obviously influenced by anything and everything they fancy, their sound blends an exciting eclecticism while maintaining that childish, fun vibe.

Life, Love & Laser Guns echo indie pop, garage rock and even a bit of disco dance influence. This is the latest compilation from the four piece Miami natives and it carries some great and catchy tunes worth checking out.

Befitting their name, Palette Town paints beautiful soundscapes. Using various instruments, synths and beats as their medium, they create musical masterpieces in their own right. The band is made up of Chris DeSalle, Daniella Chamorro, Fredrik Baliwis and Sylvano Umbac.

There’s a very distinct sound emanating from the crew. Like time travelers, they  time-hop from the 80s to the future in the way they combine certain bits and bobs. Opening with Panda’s Thumb, the track is a compendium of mild guitar riffs, soft drum crashes and twinkly sounds. It’s an appropriate mood setter and introduction. Like a solid handshake; you’re assured in getting reliable tracks up ahead.

From Hawaii, presents a nice tempo and introduces vocals for the first time in the compilation. The track sounds perfectly unpolished in all of its 2 minute glory. Meanwhile, Beach Day, keeps up the pace and adds a very 80s new wave touch to the record. One of the catchiest tracks in the short EP. Finally, Paperthin Ocean, closes Life, Love & Laser Guns in the same note it started.

Palette Town is a band that fascinates. The group manages to create gorgeous soundscapes that perfectly allow the listener to explore and enjoy it at their own pace. This is a lovely record that can easily become a staple in anybody’s playlist. It’s a bit too short but it’s definitely worth the grab.

Bristol-based producer Actraiser delivers an magnetic five track compilation that flourishes with mystical dubstep tracks while sticking to classic ambient rhythms and beats.

This the first for the artist and as expected from previous Cut Music recordings; it’s setting great groundwork for future releases.

Actraiser creates music that’s suitable for creating atmosphere while at the same time comfortable to groove to on the dance floor.

Like most Cut Music releases, this one only features a few tracks but each one presents some of the best from the artist. Starting slow and melodic, title-track Phantomile, opens the EP. Infused with a subtle tribal hypnotic vocal loop and a steady flow of synths; the song is ethereal and conveys a dark yet calming image. Meanwhile, Gryzor steps up the tempo a bit and provides a more dance club worthy rhythm.

The rest of the tracks complete the compilation. Listeners get a nice mix in Shadow Boxing; ambient jungle beats in The King is Dead, and a subdued ending track in, Walkers.

Actraiser definitely knows how to set the mood and create a sonic paradise that’s worth exploring. Get your hands on this right now and also check out the other Cut Music releases we’ve recommended here on the blog.

Slowly but surely, Aussie producer/musician, Pedram Rouzbehani or better known as P.R,  is paving his own little road in the music industry.

Drawing inspiration from life and his cultural upbringing, he creates music that resonates with great hip hop and lounge beats.

Introspection is his latest effort. Drumming together six relaxing and soothing instrumental tracks; the album is currently offered absolutely free over his BandCamp page and licensed under Creative Commons.

Introspection is the kind of album you put on if you’re setting up a romantic night with your loved one or simply want something to get rid of your stressed out nerves. Combining catchy hip hop beats with a lounge, jazz feel, the artist easily creates a soulful atmosphere with his sound.

Starting the record is Moon Mother, a slow and quiet track with dreamy guitars and a mid-tempo beat that’s a perfect soundtrack for some laid-back early evening company. Faraway, closely follows the track, and mimics the same rhythm as the first single. It’s almost an expanded version of the first cut with snippets of vocals added in the mix.

Meanwhile, Coming Home featuring Carla Waye is one of two tracks that features vocals. The song is slow and exudes an R&B feel. Finally, There For You and Sunchild, finish off the album. The former is a beautiful instrumental that shows off P.R’s skills when it comes to playing various instruments while the latter is a track featuring great rhymes from rappers Substantial & Funky DL.

Overall, Introspection is a record you’ll appreciate if you need some down time music without lulling yourself to sleep. Cool beats and nice tempo flourishes on this one. Check out the album and grab the free download if you like what you hear.
