Unique and appealing music - that's what we simply want to find as we dive into an ocean of music collection found in the internet.
Bézèd'h gives us just that with their album Les Illuminés. With 13 tracks fusing rock, celtic, drums and violins all rolled into one, this album is surely one of those which can leave your head bobbing.
Oh, and did we say that they also got interesting male vocals with classical strings?

Remember how The Corrs captivated our hearts with their downhome sound? I guess it’s about time for someone new to step in. Meet Jamie Rumley, a Folk Rock musician and a one woman band. Her album, “Renovations” was and still is a great hit in Jamendo’s charts. Expressive and very easy on the ear, this album is everything, but boring. Each song was carefully written so as to have easy-to-read lyrics and graceful tune. Jamie’s voice will not only make you listen to her songs, but also will make you fall in love with the Folk Rock genre.

Canadian singer, Chad VanGaalen, released a wonderful sounding experimental indie rock album “Soft Airplane” last year. And after exactly a year, Chad, together with his record labels, Flemish Eye and SubPop, released “Soft Airplane – B-sides EP,” last September 15, 2009. If listeners loved his other albums, then they will surely love this one more. Chad is not only a musician he also designs his own covers for his albums. He loves drawing and illustrating. Combine that with his unique choice in music, did free himself from the ordinary indie folk rock genre.

Jamison Young is a rock live performer who for a while now has been singing and writing songs only licensed under Creative Commons. Nowadays, he enjoys playing concerts in different places across Europe, as he is based out of Prague. Last year a song from his latest album, Shifting Sands of a Blue Car, was included in the soundtrack to the The X-Files: I Want to Believe movie. Jamison Young likes to listen to songs from a few decades ago, as well as from contemporary Creative Commons artists. According to him, the songs he likes are those that he "can listen to again and again yet still stay fresh."

Anois is made up of the German pair of Lars Kranholdt and Anne Baier. They describe their songs as "fragile folk-electronica," and they record their songs with instruments as varied as the guitar, melodica, fan organ, glockenspiel, and other acoustic instruments. The result is a rather introspective album that you can relax to. It also gives you greater insight into their world if you really listen closely and pay attention to their lyrics. "Tree House Whispers" is a 13-track album available for free via the netlabel Aerotone.

This is an oldie-but-goody release from Josh Woodward. Praised for his melodic voice & witty lyrics Josh definitely delivers on this one. "Only Whispering" is probably the most acoustic of all seven of his albums and as he himself admits, the one most focused on storytelling. My favorite songs include "I'll Be Right Behind You, Josephine" for sweet lyrics & "East Side Bar" for its swing-like happy feeling. If you need a nice relaxing album to listen to on a quiet day - here is a perfect one for you.
