“Greatest It” – a free ‘Best Of’ compilation from six great netlabels

"Greatest It" is a brilliant collaborative output of six cool netlabels who decided to work together to dish out a compilation that celebrates free music with each label's crowd of fans. Agreeing that by working together, they can gather up their audiences and introduce themselves to a bigger virtual crowd in the process, the six netlabels came up with 18 chill out, funky rock tracks to showcase some of the best free music ever released for free online.

Flawless Hustle presents “Stay Flawless”

FrostClick is no stranger to the music of Flawless Hustle since we reviewed their last compilation "Money Isn't Real" last October. Now they've released another adventurous album with the poignant name "Stay Flawless". With 28 monstrous tracks, this is a heavyweight musical entree that will satiate the appetites of hip-hop lovers who are always on the hunt for the new and unknown.

netwaves 4.20: what the funk! – compilation from NetWaves weekly radio show

NetWaves is a Dutch weekly radio show/podcast digging into the best in free & legal music licensed under Creative Commons licenses. The podcast specializes in electronic music all kinds, from deep house over electro to indietronic. This weeks' release is the first not to contain the Dutch dialog in between the songs and presents the tracks in the play list format giving it a sort of weekly "best off netlabels" compilation feel which we love!

Bangguru – Bang the Guru! EP

For those born in the '70s, or even youngsters who just foster an invented nostalgia for what it was like to be a kid in the '80s, there's a certain timeline of sounds that inevitably weave their way through the collective memory. Portuguese electropop band Bangguru have a sound that embodies all these elements within a single package, and not only is this the kind of music I like to listen to, these seem to be exactly the sort of people I'd like to hang out with.

ESPSIX “Older is Better” – house music at its best, exclusively free via FrostWire

Another offering from FrostClick's and FrostWire's favorite DJ from Czech Republic, ESPSIX. Following the success of "Collection of House Music" available via FrostWire a good few months ago, he comes back with his newest album - "Older is Better". We are very honored that "Older is Better" is exclusively available via FrostClick and FrostWire and is absolutely free for everybody for non-commercial use.

Fresh Body Shop: The Ugly Army

The Ugly Army is the fourth album released by Fresh Body Shop just last June. Heavy bass riffs and snappy drum beats dominate the seven tracks of this new album while the vocals are kept husky, even whispery, but not really to the point of being annoyingly distracting. Guitar and piano leads are kept to a minimum but they're cleanly and precisely executed. As for lyrics, they aren't fussy or overly angsty---you'll notice that they're not really the objective of this collection. The real goal is to showcase the (both real and synthesized) instrument skills of the artist.

Fhernando “Sweet Addiction” – a free Creative Commons licensed dance album, now on FrostWire

Fhernando is a great young Mexican DJ whose most recent album, "Sweet Addiction", got some amazing reviews on free music download websites and social networks. Fhernando, or Fernando Ramires Rios, has been composing music since he was a teenager and has already released several EPs and singles. "I Love New York", his previous release, was a house/trance/electro composition. "Sweet Addiction" falls in between the disco/house/funk genres, with more complicated arrangements and "sexy & glam" style. Both are happy, energetic and capturing.

HiFi Hustlers: Blagging It

This EP is a great chilled out mixture of 70s dance, funk with a touch of reggae and dub. Just listening to the first beats makes your feet move. We couldn't find much about the creators, but the EP has been mastered by Stuart Robertson, a songwriter, pianist and producer. The beautiful cover was designed and executed by RandyPan, an art director, graphic designer and a photographer with an alter-ego of Doward Williams.

Los Sundayers: Eterno domingo

I came across Los Sundayers searching Jamendo for Latin music and I found myself listening to the whole album with great pleasure. One of the albums reviewers, nanito, wrote they've done "a great work indeed blending reggae, dub and ska with elegant cuts and tempo switching, all wrapped around a quite colorful interpretation" and I couldn't agree more.
