This banjo player has been mesmerizing audiences with his brand of indie music for some time. He has released two albums under his belt, a self-titled debut (2009) and this one, Moment (2012.) Armed with an epic banjo technique that goes through loopers, effects et al.; you can bet you'd never see a banjo played like this before.

Birdview Crew is a musical project made up of some of the most creative underground beat makers and producers around. The collective promises to drop an album every month and for the month of June 2012, they're delivering this instrumental ambient beauty. The compilation, aptly titled June, features 22 tracks. Showcasing a mix of dub, techno, ambient, electronica, fusion, hiphop and experimental; it's one lively mix that's perfect for the ears.

Born and raised in Los Angeles, Lauren Desberg is a 21 year old jazz vocalist. She grew up with musical roots, her mother is a singer and her father is a guitar player. Lauren attended Berkley College of Music in boston on scholarship. She won the ASCAP Foundation’s Leiber and Stoller Award during college.

The Fox & Bear: Your Way EP

When close friends get together, sparks fly and in this instance, good music also comes out. The Fox & Bear is a collaborative effort by close friends Caleb Kuhl, Brandon Owens, Jesse Koska & Jonathan Dimmel. Your Way EP is the first from the group (and hopefully not the last.) After recording the initial tracks, they took the project to Kickstarter to cull donations for the mixing and mastering of the record. They released the EP on November 2012. With only four tracks included, it's quite short but it's expertly written and provides an array of melodic indie rock that's easy to like.
