Djizoes: Djizoes

Djizoes: (pronaunced Jesus in English) is a Swiss part hard rock part metal band which since their creation in 2002 managed to amaze many critics and convert many listeners into fans. Up to date, they've recorded two EPs, two full-length albums, toured around the world & played in front of tens of thousands of people at a time. Now Djizoes: has agreed to distribute some of their tracks free of charge through FrostWire straight to their P2P listeners.

Josh Woodward: Only Whispering

This is an oldie-but-goody release from Josh Woodward. Praised for his melodic voice & witty lyrics Josh definitely delivers on this one. "Only Whispering" is probably the most acoustic of all seven of his albums and as he himself admits, the one most focused on storytelling. My favorite songs include "I'll Be Right Behind You, Josephine" for sweet lyrics & "East Side Bar" for its swing-like happy feeling. If you need a nice relaxing album to listen to on a quiet day - here is a perfect one for you.

Momus: Multiple Albums

Nick Currie aka Momus released six albums from 1987 to 1993 on the now defunct Creation Records. Since they are no longer in print and unlikely ever to be re-issued, the Scottish singer/songwriter made a momentous decision to release them himself as free and legal online albums.

EnoughRecords: Retork

"Retork" is one of the first releases of a Portuguese netlabel called EnoughRecords. The label concentrates on promoting electronica, IDM, postrock, industrial, noise, glitch, drone and dark ambient music, but they say they won't limit themselfs to any particular genre or guideline. Their plan is "simply release soothing sounds, emerging landscapes, from Portugal, Europe, World, into the cyberspace for whomever will listen", for free. "Retork" is a compilation album put together in response some ignorant people claiming that "netlabel artists aren't real artists. netlabel music isn't real music" and it featuring tracks by Mosaik, Aisth, Kilowatts, Sense, Makunouchi Bento, Duncan Avoid, Xhale, Julien Neto, Kschzt, Khonnor, Quobe, Fyzix, Sinespree and Nullsleep.

Los Sundayers: Eterno domingo

I came across Los Sundayers searching Jamendo for Latin music and I found myself listening to the whole album with great pleasure. One of the albums reviewers, nanito, wrote they've done "a great work indeed blending reggae, dub and ska with elegant cuts and tempo switching, all wrapped around a quite colorful interpretation" and I couldn't agree more.

Dynamoe: In the Wake of Time

Dynamoe is a quite unique electronica/rock band from Denmark. They've met almost by accident in 1997, when both Giovanni Campagna and Dennis Lee were signed by the same label. After a log chat, they've discovered they have so many ideas in common that working together is almost a given... "In the Wake of Time" is the band's third full album, preceded by "Coming Home" in 2004 and "Jump Start" in 2001 - all are available for donation/free download at www.dynamoe.com.

D3Zs: Doin’ The Raps [Part 1]

D3Zs is a group of hip-hop artists from Canada and Japan. Having met at a show in Kyoto, the artists worked on a number of projects, one being this free online album released by the exciting new hip-hop net label, Random Flow.

Friends of the Stars: Lighting & Electrical

Friends of the Stars is a Country/Folk band from Birmingham, UK that's been together for more than 8 years now. They've released a couple of singles and brushed by some major British labels under their previous names - Buick 6 and The Toques, but their first full album - "Lighting & Electrical" - was proudly recorded and released as "Friends of the Stars". Everybody in FOTS - Craig Hamilton, Anna Russell and Cam Do-cherty - share the singing and songwriting duties and now everybody is working together on the second album.
