Injustice: Gods Among Us is a free fighting game from Warner Bros. With high end graphics and sounds, it is the mobile adaptation of the console based game, and it will have you pitting DC Comics heroes vs. villains. In this game each player gets three characters and you must beat all three to win.

Unlike other iOS fighting games, Injustice: Gods Among Us uses a simple touch based control system. Instead of clumsy controls you just have to focus on defending and attacking. Tap to fight and swipe in order to launch more intricate attacks.

The game controls also make it easy to launch combo attacks and block your opponents. As you land successful attacks, your character’s strength bar will go up and you will be able to switch to special moves.

Injustice: Gods Among Us also has a card collecting aspect to it. You gather these character cards so they can be used to add to your team or add to the power of a character. You can get these cards by playing and winning battles or the IAPs (in app purchases), but you don’t need to pay for them if you don’t want to.

What really makes the game a bit different from others is that as your character will gain experience it will, at the same time, loose its energy. To regain the energy bars, your character will need time to recharge.

Injustice: Gods Among Us is an exciting game, combining action with card collecting and strategy. The graphics are top of the line and among the best in iOS. This is in addition to the nice and easy gaming controls.

The game is based on Celtic mythology, and you have to battle your way to the top. Fans of hack and slash multiplayer games will appreciate its fast action. This game took a while to develop and was originally known as Mabinogi Heroes. Compared to other anime-styled games from Korea, the graphics of Vindictus are more lifelike.

Players also get to interact with the surroundings extensively. While the emphasis is on action, there are a lot of other details that immerse you in the game. It’s free, but the voice acting is comparable to commercial releases.

You have to go the official website to start the game. You can choose from various characters, each of which has a different fighting style. Those new to the game should try out the prologue. It gives you an idea of what Vindictus is about and what to expect. Characters can be customized. There are a lot of details that players can control, including eye color, eye brow, make up, height, hair color and style etc.

What makes Vindictus stand out from other hack and slash MMORPGs is the degree of interaction with the environment. You can pick objects like pillars and barrels and use them in different ways. You can even grab another player and use them as shield when being attacked. All of these features make Vindictus an immersive game.

Played around with a lot of ass kicking zombies? Well, this time around fight for survival with zombies the size of Mario. Yes, these zombies are far from intimidating, but they surely are out for a kill and the their meal is none other than you.

Developed by Italy Games, yes the same developer who have given Android their best Bowling and Chess game, Zombie Dash is another masterpiece on the Android market – offered for free. This is one game that is sure to hook users to their device for some casual gaming game.

The game takes 90% cue from the iOS game Jetpack Joyride by Halfbrick Studios, from the power-up methods, obstacles, shooting styles, the zombies, to the main lead. The other 10% that is the original take on the environment. Nonetheless, the developer manages to add a bit of panache to it and make it look more original than it might sound.

In-game, players are given the sole responsibility of saving their city which has been swarmed by brain-dead zombies and fight for survival at the same time. Gameplay is very intuitive and addicting with the inclusion of jump and shoot button equipped on either sides of the screen. Old-time gamer are in for a treat as the game allows for a total Mario like feature, under which players can jump on top of the other zombies eliminating them as well as hitting bricks to get the necessary power-ups.

Overall, this is a great game and a thumbs up is surely deserved by the developer for the awesome mash-up they have cooked up. The scoring point for this game would be the fact that Jetpack Joyride is an iOS exclusive, so Zombie Dash coming to the Android ecosystem just aims at capturing the market ASAP. My personal rating 4.5 out of 5. Happy gaming everyone.

All Droid users brace up for war, we are in a state of emergency. Well, that is the scenario as far as Assaulter is concerned. A heavy duty, action-packed warfare game with HD graphics for a truly immersive experience beyond doubt.

Created by CWA Games, the developer behind some other great apps for Android, the more recent Assaulter certainly raised the bar for all the action games that will follow.

The game is a portable arcade shooter and will take old-time 8-bit gamers on a stroll down memory lane. Assaulter features a vast arsenal of weapons, upgrades, levels and jaw-dropping graphics. This all sums up to a great gaming deal on Android devices. Unlike the recent slew of HD games, Assaulter is no console competition, but rather creates its own niche in the smartphone gaming category.

In-game, players need to fight terrorists who have invaded the world with fear and suffering. So now it is time for payback. The game, like I mentioned previously can not be compared to the more recent HD titles, but it definitely holds its own place. I specially loved the “BOOM” writings among the yellow flames; truly old school.

As one of the titles with no real storyline, you will be in charge of a mindless shooter meant to keep people of all ages. The full version is free for all Android users.

Overall a great game with some hardcore mindless action. A thumbs-up to the developer for creating a masterpiece and offering it to the world.

All the hardcore gaming fans with a thirst for some eye-popping graphics, it is time to welcome the ultimate in mobile gaming in the form of Dead Trigger. This is one game where Zombies will make you squeal and gore will become a part of your life.

Dead Trigger was developed by Madfinger Games, the developers of the most visually outstanding games, such as, Samurai Vengeance and Shawdowgun. The developer has gone one step ahead in the fight against piracy within the Android ecosystem, and made Dead Trigger available for free. Commendable job we say.

Dead Trigger makes the most deadly first impression on any gamer. The graphics are stunning, the action is fast-paced, and the blood splatters just as it should. This game actually matches up-to a current-gen console game, but falls short of it when you begin playing it. The sole reason being the length of the missions, it is just to short and finishes off before the player realizes.

This is one beautiful game and sets benchmarks for many other upcoming high-end games, and easily matches up-to the likes of Infinity Blade II and Modern Combat 3: Fallen Nation. Gameplay on the higher-end Android devices and the iPad third-gen is lag-free and works like a charm. There was no stuttering or frame-rate drop at all, irrespective of the number of zombies there were on screen.

The mission of the game is quite simple, zombies come, they attack, you shoot and that is how the progression of the game is based on. A player is situated in an enclosed area and the living dead keep entering from here, there and everywhere. Zombies have been designed very well and to a certain extent, the AI really impressed me with the feedback received in-game.

Overall, Dead trigger really shows the bright future of Mobile gaming, which is coming at par with the current-gen consoles. If hacking and slashing is in your veins, then Dead Trigger is the perfect game to feature in your HD game folder.

Do you feel it’s about time for some old-school 2D action? Yes, me too. So here it is, an indie RPG that provides an exciting gameplay with very decent graphics. Spirit Engine 2 is the sequel to the original Spirit Engine released in November of 2003. The sequel, however, features a whole new world, new characters, revamped graphics, and an all new game engine. Players who played the orignal version will certainly experience an overall better gameplay.

The Spirit Engine 2 was developed by Natomics Studio under Mark Play, who also drew, wrote and programmed the entire game; depicting a fantasy world with evil nemesis and various hurdles that come in the way of the main characters.

The entire game plot revolves around an extensive map that houses nine distinct chapters. Players can initially choose from a grid of nine different party members, with 3 per class and personality type. Players have the freedom to choose any class of character they decide, so it can be either Knight, Marksman, or a priest. There are a total of 9 player characters and 2 rare characters in-game.

Players are also put in a place called Lereftain which is under a peace treaty with the neighboring Yaegara nation. The continent of Medea is controlled by the tentacled, psychic Rakari, who is accepted by most humans, including the Lereftese Parliament, but some doubt his motives due to his mysterious behavior patterns. The Rakari also function as a peacekeeping force by removing criminals from the population. The three characters are brought together after witnessing an unexplained murder by a cult called the Keepers, and set out to discover the actual motive of the Keepers’. In the process, they discover a political plan inclined to wage a war between the two countries.

The Spirit Engine 2 has been developed in such a way, that the entire battle system now functions in real time with improved interface, greater control over characters and action synchronization controls for more realistic battles. Also, characters attack automatically. Battle can be easily configured to speed up, slow down, or paused according to the players choice.

Overall, the game is great and can provide an awesome relief from the conventional HD gaming experienced these days. The specs required for the game are very basic and any new age PC can just blaze through it, providing a lag-free gameplay throughout the play-time. 2D hardcore fans, this one will make you smile.

Fans of the orignal and subsequent Inotia titles are in for a treat with Inotia 4: Assassin of Berkel. This part carries the legacy of the game forward and to a certain extent, does outdo the previous title.

The game was developed by Com2Us, who already has quite an impressive feat of games in their portfolio. This developer makes games not only with great play-ability factor, but also integrates quality into the final product, with minimum bugs or lag.

Intoia 4 brings to players 6 different classes of characters (including Dark Knight, Priest, Warlock, and Assassin) and 90 skills to learn. Additionally, players will also have access to over 400 maps for exploration of various terrain like dry deserts, freezing snowfields and dark dungeons. Inotia 4 does feature some in-game ads that randomly pop up in the menu on many occasions. The game does feature a few in-app purchases, but during the course of gameplay, it is safe to say that they are not necessary and players can pull through the game without paying any heed to it.

Character development has been paid quit a bit of detailing, with every character in-game speaking in a modern tone. Overall, Inotia 4 will not disappoint any RPG fan to say the least. The game has its own share of flaws, but the updates are quite timely and with a few bug fixes, things should go the lag-free way.

Here is something for all those who just cannot get enough of casual gaming titles on their smartphones. Ninja Dash is one offering that every gamer at heart will love and adore to the fullest, all owing to the sweet graphics and intuitive play style integrated within the ecosystem.

Created by Mouse Games, this developer has produced some rather sad titles in the past, but things seem to have taken a turn with their Ninja Dash offering.

The game offers crisp visuals and a very cute ninja all decked in black. In-game, players need to collect special weapons and avoid obstacles in order to get the maximum distance in their name. Another Jetpack Joyride rip-off friends, but it still holds a decent place.

The game features three difficulty levels; Easy, Hard and Crazy. All the modes have been designed quite well and provide a satisfactory gaming experience to the player with no doubt. Controls are easy and do not require the player to break a sweat over the gameplay. A simple touch of the ‘jump’ button enables the ninja to jump over the obstacles, a double tap of the jump button enables a higher leaps over objects. The slide button enables leaps or slips to collect weapons for health increase.

The game currently boasts with 29 achievements and the developer promises to add more very soon. The game is very simple and requires no strategies or high-end planning. Overall, a great time killer that does its job in a more than adequate way.

It is time to put on the cowboy hat, load the revolver chamber and get ready to step-in the dust, at-least that is the call with the latest game Six Guns. The game takes the free app offering to an all-new level in terms of graphics, gameplay, challenges and the likes.

Created by Gameloft, these developers need no introduction at all as their past works do it all for them, especially after offering some really great free HD titles such as Brothers In Arms, Assassins Creed: Rearmed, and Lets Golf! 3 HD. And this time Gameloft has delivered another great gaming experience with Six Guns.

In the game, players assume the role of Buck Crosshaw, who has now become an outlaw due to a wrong conception and now he fakes his own death, and escapes to Arizona. His escape does not provide him with solace, but brings upon his head a dozen of more dangers, perils and evil. All this due to the ancient evil forces that loiter around the mysterious hilly region of Arizona.

Six Guns is developed as a Sandbox genre game, giving players the full ability to explore the very well architectural designed Arizona and Oregon. The places are full of events, mysteries and challenges which slowly unfold as the game progresses. A big thumbs-up to Gameloft for the wonderful thinking implemented in the gameplay.

As far as gameplay goes, players will be immersed with over 40 missions to be accomplished. Further, to keep things interesting, players also get the full chance to ride horses, overpower robbers, combat against a wave of enemies including outlaws, vampires and various other supernatural foes, and many more hurdles come along the way. The gameplay is massive without a doubt, but for a mobile game it is anything, but boring. To speak the truth, the game really got me hooked for a long time. It is that great.

The players who want a sense of achievement will need to unlock 8 different horses, 19 weapons, and an array of clothes for that perfect touch of customization. This game does not support syncing with Game Center, but Gameloft Live! really seals the deal with social gaming, trophies and some serious bragging rights.

Overall, the game is a class apart with the graphics and intuitive feedback, and really raises the bar for other developers offering paid app with the same content. It is treat time for all hardcore gaming fans who have a penchant for eye-candy visuals. The app being an universal one will benefit the iPad as well as the iPhone/iPod Touch clan.

We have played a lot of zombies games and some of them have really blown us away with the level of realism packed inside. This is what Samurai vs Zombie is all about. An action-packed game with oodles of characters and wonderful surroundings.

The game was created by Glu Mobile, a developer that has joined the A-league of smartphone game developers long time ago. Since than, Glu has produced some of the most amazing game titles such as Frontline Commando, Blood & Glory, Guitar Hero, Gun Bros Multiplayer and many more. Samurai vs Zombie really sticks to the legacy of great gaming fan.

If you think about Samurai vs Zombie as a run of the mill mindless game, think again. The app has a certain feel to it which helps it to create a niche in the casual gaming segment. What Glu Mobile really achieves here is creating a game out-of-the-box without making it look like a mash up of their past titles.

Samurai vs Zombies defense puts players in the shoes of a heroic samurai who has sworn to defend the gates of his sacred village against the oncoming horde of brain-dead attackers. That onslaught just happens to be coming from swarms of zombies who are hungry for some samurai bite. Game graphics are really neat with some really nice visuals thrown in here and there, keeping in mind the Freemium legacy of Glu Mobile.

The controls of the game are the definition of simplicity. Hold to the left of the screen to go left and hold the right for right. Players are blessed with additional power-ups and ability to call in reinforcements that sit on the bottom of the screen and can be commanded with a single touch.

Players are not left to their own fate for defeating the brain-dead junkies. Aside from being armed with a bow and arrow and a powerful sword, players also have full ability to seek help in the form of summonable samurais that will join in their fight. Archers, swordsmen, warriors, and eventually even riflemen and heroes on horseback will come to help.

Overall, the game is full of action, adventure, hack-and-slash, fast-paced gameplay, awesome visuals so-on and so-forth. It is a freemium app and hence the need of integrating in-app purchases was a must for Glu, but interestingly players need not make any in-app purchase to smoothly glide through in-game levels. A very big boon to enjoy this marvel of a game.
