This time around, the game is free and very well integrates with games for Windows Life.

Developed by Microsoft Studios, Flight is one of the best in the simulator series and does the job really well. Instead of the boring environment, this time around the developers have incorporated the beautiful scenic locales of Hawaii. Allowing users to hover around the beautiful beaches and the likes.

Initially, players will be blessed with two aircrafts, namely, the Icon A5 and Stearman. Both of them have a unique feel to their flight. While the Icon is smooth and easy, the Stearman is more of a stiff challenge, especially during takeoffs due to the high-torque range of the propeller.

Right now the free content of Microsoft Flight can be divided into a missions, challenges, and the very popular free-flight mode. Players can also hunt for aerocaches (like an airborne scavenger hunt) or look on a local airfield's job board to provide scenic tours of Hawaii or perform cargo runs. The modes are expansive, but playing the game and getting through with the jobs is very easy and not time consuming at all. These missions also include short tutorial missions on the whole, providing players with the basics to fly, land, and take-off.

The game boasts of some major in-app purchases of different sets of flights, but regular players can enjoy it without any in-app purchases and play to their hearts content. Overall, it's a great simulation game with up-to-date graphics and a slick user-interface on the whole. Microsoft Flight is a must have for old-time fans, as well as newbie pilots. Fly on!

Like the original, the developer promises to include an online multiplayer function later on but for now players will have to settle with sharing their keyboard with a friend if they want to play co-op mode.

The game features tons of characters in different classes just like the original game. Each character has his own set of skills and specialties that you can take advantage of when bringing him into a firefight. The characters have a primary attack, a secondary one, a melee attack and one air or jumping attack. This gives you plenty of ways to take care of the enemy. If you're not familiar with the original game, some of the characters at your disposal include a doctor, an engineer, a spy, a scout, a soldier and a couple more.

Team Fortress Arcade has 9 levels worth of gameplay and an epic boss battle if you get that far. It's much like Contra or Double Dragon, where you have up to 4 players invading enemy territory. Although the game doesn't allow PVP just yet, the bots are fully capable of giving you a good challenge.

Even though the game still has a few bugs here and there (full screen option for Mac still has problems,) it's quite a fun and exciting game to get your hands on. The best part is that you can get all this goodness absolutely free! Definitely worth playing if you ask me.

The game was created by Metanet Software back in 2005 and won the audience choice award for the Independent Games Festival that same year. Today, the game has spawned a console (multiplayer) version for the Xbox Live Arcade, the Nintendo DS and the PSP titled, N+.

N was originally offered as a flash game but you can download it now onto your computer. There's a version available for the Mac, Linux and of course, Windows system.

N has you playing a cool stick-figure ninja with all the abilities of a super cool hero. Your main goal is to complete each level by navigating through each one and avoiding various obstacles laid in your path. You also need to collect gold coins while heading for the exit door leading to the next section.

There are only three keys to use for controlling your character. You have the left and right arrow keys for movement and then the shift key for jumping. A combination of these allows your ninja to climb up vertical walls, slide and do all those cool things ninjas do.

About 99 levels are available for you to play; half of which were contributed by players themselves and handpicked by Metanet. Certain levels lets the player decide which exit to take while others only provide one way out. Moreover, there's a time limit for finishing each level so you have to be quick on your toes in reaching the exit. Gathering up the gold coins however, increases your time by 2 seconds.

The game is done in 2D but its graphics are quite classy. Controls and reaction time of your ninja are pretty fast; making it effortless to have him running around everywhere. Of course, the puzzles themselves can be a bit of a challenge. There are times when the game becomes insanely frustrating because it's hard to figure out how to finish and reach the exit. Nevertheless, it is definitely fun to play. It's not just for those looking for a quick game in between breaks but for those who love a great brain-draining challenge as well.

Keys of a Gamespace might seem like an odd title for a video game but it's actually very appropriate for this one. Developed by a group of people from the University of Metz in France, the game explores a new take on gaming; it uses it as a tool for gaining better understanding by putting you in someone else's shoes.

The game sees you in the footsteps of a man trying to make sense of his past. Your job is to help him put together his memories by solving puzzles in each level. Each step gets you closer to unraveling what he has kept hidden in his subconsious. It's an intriguing game that's equipped with a unique storyline and an interesting gameplay.

When they created the game, the developers admit to being inspired by a number of things like David Lynch affairs Eraserhead and Twin Peaks to comic book, American Splendor. They also meant for it to become a statement piece; that the gaming medium can be used to handle sensitive and serious topics like any other form of media.

It's a very expressive game and one that tackles issues that might not be to everyone's liking. As mentioned, in the game you'll be guiding a man through his life. From his first kiss, finding his father and finally making a very important and crucial decision; you have to help your character figure everything out.

The gameplay involves the use of doors serving as a gateway for various memories and stages of life. You can travel to different memories by going in and out of these doors. By adding and taking certain objects that are crucial to completing the memory, you'll manage to complete the level and get a chance to move on deeper down until you figure everything out.

The graphics and musical score for the game are pretty good. It was perfect for adding mood and atmosphere to the game, helping trigger special moments for the character. In the end, there is a message hidden in there and one worth trying to figure out. Give it a go.

The game has a very entertaining and quite addictive gameplay; a feature that most classic games have mastered.

The protagonist is a cute little fellow that can instantly dig a hole in the ground at a press of a button. Your little creature has to trap the enemy inside the hole he creates and covers them up so they won't be able to escape. Sounds easy enough right? The challenge comes when you realize that most enemies are capable of jumping over the holes so you have to be strategic about where to place the holes. Moreover, once you dig a hole, your character can't walk over them unless they are covered up, which only happens when an enemy falls inside them.

Poton is essentially a simple game to play. It takes time to master but once you get the hang of it, it's easy to breeze through the levels and defeat the enemy. The game is definitely perfect for killing some time off from your hectic schedule. Give it a go.

This simple but entertaining game was a staple on the PopCap roster. In fact, it was even available as a flash game on their website.

Fast forward to now and this addictive game is available as a free download for the iPhone and iPad. The game was released under PopCap's "indie label," 4th & Battery where they promised to deliver edgier and experimental games.

I'm not so sure if you can call Candy Train edgy or experimental but one thing's for sure, it definitely has the charm of a PopCap title: making you want to do nothing but keep playing.

The premise is quite simple. You play an engineer and you have to ensure that the train gets from point A to point B. The problem is that you have an entire block of twisted and mumbled up railway in front of you. Hence, you have to be quick on your feet to fix the tracks and allow a path for the train. The game also puts you in control of the train's speed to ensure that you beat the clock and make your candy deliveries successfully.

You have to be careful though when it comes to your time. If you slow down too much, you'll miss out on the delivery time but if you move too fast then the train might end up crashing if you don't fix the tracks fast enough. It's essentially a balancing act.

Overall, the game is pretty endearing. Even though there's hardly anything special about it, Candy Train still manages to suck in players like a child after candy. It's bright and colorful graphics as well as simple engaging gameplay is enough to hook anybody who has plenty of time to kill. Give it a try. The game is available as a free download. It certainly won't disappoint.

Instead of the old graphics, you get an updated gameplay and the game in full 3D. Gameplay is similar though; you need to guide a ball from one point of the map to another.

iBall3D works on the iPad, iPhone and iPod Touch. It's also available as a free download right under the Mac App Store. As mentioned, gameplay is a no brainer. All you have to do is maneuver a ball around a maze and reach the goal. iBall 3D was designed using Shiva, a 3D authoring tool that works with different platforms. Graphics for the game are pretty good, although I think some parts need fine tuning; it still impresses nonetheless.

Physics for the game is functional. Although the ball does seem to drop a little too heavy. It's perfect for controls but is a far cry from achieving a realistic feel. One cool thing though is that you can upload your final score onto the iBall 3D server. It gives you a chance to check out your world ranking if you're the competitive type.

Overall, the game is a bit short at 9 challenges but its still quite entertaining.
Unfortunately, the game came with a price -$1.99 a pop at the iTunes App store - and was only offered for iOS devices, well, that is until recently.

Yep, the game is now available for download for Windows and Mac users. Plus, it's all for free! With additional features incorporated, this retro arcade Pacman-type game is destined to become an even bigger hit thanks to these new formats.

Created by Nyarlu Labs, the game surprises with a simple but addictive gameplay as well as some really fun graphics. The goal is to eat off all the "flowers" or pellets inside the maze. Once you manage to eat everything, a gold key appears and you can use it to unlock the exit door to the next level.

Of course, it's not always easy to collect all the flowers thanks to the many monsters parading across the maze. They will try to shoot and hurt you when you come in contact with them. There are different types of enemies lurking within the game and some of them react differently when you fire at them. There are ones that'll split into two, others will hurl fireballs relentlessly and some will explode off the bat. The good news is that you can fight back with your own weapon and kill them off but you still need to watch out for the projectiles since it can still hurt you.

Although the PC and Mac versions are quite similar to the iOS version, it's decidedly more challenging according to the developer. The new game is meant to be more "arcadey" too and filled with new types of enemies, more fruits as well as HD support.

Forget-Me-Not is an excellent game to try out. Filled with nice graphics, engaging gameplay that tests out the gamer's skill as they progress and simple controls; you'll have a fun time throughout. Grab the download.

Created by Panic Arts, this zombie apocalypse is a horror platformer that incorporates great fun and interesting game play to create a more than just entertaining adventure.

Being a fairly new game, it isn't perfect yet it still manages to engage gamers in a full-on entertaining zombie romp. With two game modes available, several weapons at your disposal and tons of zombies for target practice, this is quite a fun game to check out.

eXtermination lets you play as Fred Tayler, a cop doing his duty by responding to a distress call from a colleague. However, as he heads on his way, he finds the town overrun with zombies and no living soul on sight.

The game throws you in a chaotic situation; fielding off zombie attacks left and right. Unlike regular zombie games, you'll encounter different types as you play. To kill a legion of the undead, you need to move and aim using the mouse cursor. Choosing the type of weapon you want to use can be done by pressing the numeral keys on top of your keyboard.

If a zombie grabs you, pressing the left and right cursor back and forth will help loosen its grasp. Meanwhile, pressing the letter E allows you to activate a console or open a door. Aside from zombies, you also have to solve various puzzles strategically placed within the game.

Overall, gamplay is quite good. It's fun and very engaging. The puzzles aren't exactly throwaways either. Pretty much, if you love zombie games or maybe just need a game to kill off a couple minutes then you should give this one a go.

One Curious Nightfall is a short but very interesting game that's coupled with one awesome soundtrack. The game is beautiful and definitely worth checking out and experiencing for yourself.

In the game, there are several rooms that you need to explore, with each room holding a surprise of its own. Gameplay is quite simple and the graphics is 2D but it's still pretty amazing. It's a bit short so don't expect to get too attached with the game since it might be over even before you start getting a feel for it.

Give the game a try by hitting the download link on the upper left of the image.

The game lets you play as a young girl who discovers a small pouch and goes on an adventure. She must return the pouch to its owner, the Bird King. Although the game offers about 30 rooms or so that players can explore, there's very little gameplay. In fact, players can probably breeze through the game in as little as 15 minutes.

Even if you are not in it for the gameplay, the flawless animation is worth checking out. Moreover, the soundtrack is simply stunning. It was recorded especially for the game by Flashygoodness, who also worked on the soundtrack for Tower to Heaven. You can download the soundtrack separately via BandCamp. It's available for a small donation but you can also download it for free by placing zero on the donation amount.

Overall, the game is pretty charming. It's simple and beautifully done . Certainly worth checking out if you're trying to kill a few minutes.
