This is one game that was always present on my 'classics' list and there are many who have played it endlessly on their PCs. Yes, the game we are talking about is Plumber. It is here that the players need to connect various pipes and let the water flow seamlessly without any loopholes.

Created by Monsters Game, these developers have a specialty for casual arcade games, although Plumber has garnered the highest number of downloads till date.

The game is as simple as 1-2-3. There is a leak in the pipe that needs to be fixed by the player. Fairly simple without getting your hands dirty. All the player needs to do is reorder the pipes and make the gushing water flow seamlessly from one pipe to the other.

The game is quite challenging and needs a lot of thinking and patience to solve it. With over 50 levels packed-in, players will face the ire of frustration. Unlike other games where the first 5 levels are like a walk-in-the-park, be careful as Plumber will wreck havoc on the grey cell from the first level onward.

There is not much to talk about the game as it is very straightforward without beating around the bush. A must try for every person out there who played Plumber on Windows 98 and enjoy gaming of that era. A big thumbs up to the developer for doing true justice to a true classic.

Through the game, players will help with forensics, investigate clues, and interrogate the suspects to end the murderer and unveil the motive behind the crime. So here we are again with what seems like another "Angry Birds" ripoff. This time around the tables have turned a bit and we are offered Angry Piggy (Adventure). As the name says it all, in the game it is the pig who is angry, but very surprisingly not with the birds.

Developed by MPC Games, these developers have quite a few cute games under-their-belt, but it is the Angry Piggy that got them the impressive number of downloads within only a few days of its launch on the Android Market.

In the game, players are assigned with an elite team consisting of an 'Angry' Pig - Steezy, a Bird - Haden and a powerful Cow - Moochew. Players need to take revenge on a monster who has stirred up the most ghastly wind ever and robbed the colors of the once very colorful Utopia. So now the Pig, Bird and Cow are very angry and it is payback time for the Evil Monster.

The game will highly appeal to the puzzle fans and being a physics integrated game play, players are in for a delightful treat. Throughout the game, you will need to collect colors to restore the liveliness back to Avelon. Like every other game, even in Angry Piggy the difficulty while puzzle solving increases as the levels go by.

There are obstacles in the way that can be overcome by activating a lever, or moving a block or jumping on a button. Some advance levels will put players in a fix by placing two characters from the game. Now, while one can be controlled the other needs to be pushed or dragged for completion. The challenges are huge and this keeps the game going and keeps monotony out of the way.

The game features over 40 challenging levels with over 40 achievements. Players also get full-freedom to to switch between the three in-game characters for the best teamwork and game completion. If these options are not enough, the game also can be played via the Gravity Sensor using the device Gyroscope or the good-old virtual keypad. Overall, a great game providing a high level of fun with detailed graphics, cute characters, sweet music, easy controls and some brain tingling puzzles. One of the most addictive and sometimes frustrating game you can ever play, N is an award winning title that involves tons of jumping, climbing, and running.

The game was created by Metanet Software back in 2005 and won the audience choice award for the Independent Games Festival that same year. Today, the game has spawned a console (multiplayer) version for the Xbox Live Arcade, the Nintendo DS and the PSP titled, N+.

N was originally offered as a flash game but you can download it now onto your computer. There's a version available for the Mac, Linux and of course, Windows system.

N has you playing a cool stick-figure ninja with all the abilities of a super cool hero. Your main goal is to complete each level by navigating through each one and avoiding various obstacles laid in your path. You also need to collect gold coins while heading for the exit door leading to the next section.

There are only three keys to use for controlling your character. You have the left and right arrow keys for movement and then the shift key for jumping. A combination of these allows your ninja to climb up vertical walls, slide and do all those cool things ninjas do.

About 99 levels are available for you to play; half of which were contributed by players themselves and handpicked by Metanet. Certain levels lets the player decide which exit to take while others only provide one way out. Moreover, there's a time limit for finishing each level so you have to be quick on your toes in reaching the exit. Gathering up the gold coins however, increases your time by 2 seconds.

The game is done in 2D but its graphics are quite classy. Controls and reaction time of your ninja are pretty fast; making it effortless to have him running around everywhere. Of course, the puzzles themselves can be a bit of a challenge. There are times when the game becomes insanely frustrating because it's hard to figure out how to finish and reach the exit. Nevertheless, it is definitely fun to play. It's not just for those looking for a quick game in between breaks but for those who love a great brain-draining challenge as well.

The game is all about blocks, with a new & fresh twist. Unlike other games in this genre, you have to break some blocks and you have to save some blocks in order to win the game. It is also based on a physics, which makes it more entertaining, challenging and unique to play.

Glass Tower 3 centers around maneuvering two main block colors: Blue and Red. While you have to go out and crash all the Blue ones (they add up to your total score depending on the size of the block in question), the Red ones have to be saved. For every Red block destroyed you loose points and "one" life is subtracted from the game - a hefty fine to pay.

Also, there are other color blocks that contain bonuses. Players are faced with the challenge to break these colored blocks and reveal the bonus hidden within. Once the block is broken, the bonus hurries up towards the edge of the screen, and within a short-span of time, the player has to tap on the escaping bonus to use it to his/her advantage in game-play.

The game, like most others begins, on a very easy scale. Its only when you dash through a few levels you experience the difficulty level rising. Glass Tower 3 is developed on a physical-based engine resulting in various finishes to a single level. Game progress is continuously saved, so you can continue where you left off from. Gameplay is very intuitive and is a real treat to the eyes when being played on the Retina-Display.

Glass Tower 3 is available on the App Store in iTunes for the iPhone, iPod Touch, and iPad provided they are running on iOS 4 and above. The game integrates with Game Center so you can achieve bragging rights among your friends and pin-down foes to challenges, and create new-records.

Black Lodge is the much talked about videogame homage to the wildly popular Lynchian cult classic, Twin Peaks. If you're a fan of the series, you should be all over this game. It's a beautiful piece that essentially captures the craziness, mystery and magnetic storyline of the original tv show.

The game was created by Jak Lodge and features all the goodness the original storyline has to offer plus a bit more. With amazing Atari 2600 style, the game is playable for both Mac and PC. It also comes with a manual that the developer encourages you to read first before starting.

The game places you in the shoes of special agent, Dale Cooper. The story line picks up close to the final season tv show arc where Cooper has found himself trapped inside the Black Lodge; a mystical realm where both Heaven and Hell meet. You're currently stuck and need to find an exit by exploring one room after another. To make it more interesting, you have your doppelganger hounding you as you try to find your way out.

Along with the crazy storyline, the gameplay is quite difficult to finish. However, the developer promises some exciting Easter egg once you do reach 5000 points.  Of course, even solving the actual puzzle by then will still make you want to pull your hair.

If you're looking for a chance to satisfy your love for Twin Peaks apart from watching reruns off the net, then this is a great game to check out.

If you're looking for a different type of balloon busting game, iSplume might just be the game to try out next. Originally offered for sale, the game is now available as a free download on the Mac App Store.

This cool puzzle game from Flash Bang Studios has gained quite a lot of fans since its release. Unlike regular puzzle bobble types, this one makes use of quirky little creatures called splumes.

The objective is a bit similar to the original though. You have to position at least three similar colored splumes in order for them to pop. Of course, there are additional sets of rules that help make this one a little bit more interesting than its counterparts.

Instead of simply popping similar colored balloons, the game makes use of the iPhone's gyrosope. Players can easily influence the tilt and direction of the splume, using gravity to their advantage. Once you start playing this one, it's pretty easy to get hooked.

Game controls are simple. Sometimes I think it's a little too simple though. For instance, part of the fun in Bust A Move (Puzzle Bobble) was that you needed to figure out where to point the launcher before hurling your balloon. In this one, you just need to tap on the screen and your Splume automatically goes there. This sort of cuts the challenge a bit, making it way too easy. The good thing is that the physics aspect of the game sort of makes up for this.

There are 25 levels to the game. Most of them are pretty easy to finish. In fact, if you're obsessive about finishing games right away, you can actually go through the levels in just an hour or two.

Overall, iSplume is one of those games you can play when you find yourself with a pocket of time in between doing important things. It's perfect for short time entertainment since it's neither too complicated nor too difficult. Give it a try.
