Shuriken Ninja is a puzzle game in which you set up to control a ninja whose mission is to take out the different targets that are popping up on screen. Created by GeekWorks LLC, your weapon for hitting those targets are your shuriken throwing stars and your environment is hundreds of levels that we about to challenge you every step of the way.

Four gaming modes are available including Round Challenge and Single Star. In Single Star you are equipped with only a limited number of throwing stars to eliminate the targets, while Round Challenge takes place in multiple levels. Your goal here is to target specific objects before time runs out. If you succeed you will move on to the next level. As you advance, the levels become more challenging and difficult.

The game controls are easy; you just tap the screen to hurl your shuriken. Note that the shuriken will penetrate wood surfaces but not metallic ones. The default settings are fine but if you want to tweak them go to Settings where sound effects and music are covered. While there are more than a hundred levels in Shuriken Ninja, an in game level creator was added so you can create an unlimited number of levels in the game.

Bottom line: if you like ninja themed puzzle games you will like Shuriken Ninja. The graphics are very nice and game play is pretty smooth as well. The music and sound effects also add a lot to the game and certainly add to the atmosphere. And since you can now create more levels, playability is extended.

Bubble Star from Random Salad Games is not just another bubble shooting game. While it does have similarities with those other games, it has many other features that make it unique and interesting. The colorful graphics and the strategizing, among others, make it a truly engrossing game.

Bubble Star has a simple objective – you just have to match three bubbles that have similar colors, and they will pop. Your goal is to get every bubble off the board and win. The game play sounds simple and it is very easy to pick up. However it does present a lot of challenges and you won�t be able to complete the game in just a couple of sittings.

You can literally spend hours playing through the 100 levels and it also has bonus bubbles included. What makes it even better is the fact that Random Salad Games is working on adding more levels so there is a lot of playability here. You can also play the game in different modes for added enjoyment and it is also compatible with tablets.

Wordament from Microsoft is a word puzzle game that will have you competing against players from all over the world. Since this game is all about competing against others, you will need an Internet connection (Wi-Fi or otherwise) to play the game. The great thing about this game is that it�s on all the time; you can play as much as you want.

Every round of Wordament will present you with a 4 x 4 grid of 16 letters. When the game starts, you have to look for as many words as you can by linking or touching letters that are next to each other. Simply put, the letter in each word has to touch the letter before it diagonally, horizontally or vertically.

Each word can be found only once per round, but word variations like past tense, present tense and plural count as separate words. If you make too many wrong guesses, you won�t be able to input for a bit, allowing your opponents to take the lead.

What makes Wordament different from other word games is that each round lasts only 2 minutes so you always need to be on your feet and thinking. And since you�re competing against other players, it adds another level of challenge. There are also special rounds that show up every now and then with bonus points.

Wordament used to be available only for Windows Phone but now versions for the iPad and iPhone have also come out. There are a lot of word puzzle games out there but this is one of the most enjoyable and addictive.

Where�s My Water from Disney is an exciting physics based puzzle game. Your objective is to route water for an alligator named Swampy. The game is notable not just because Swampy is Disney�s first original character for mobile phones, but because it�s really good. Swampy the alligator hates being dirty, so you need to give him regular baths, but it�s easier said than done.

Giving Swampy a bath isn�t as easy as it seems, because another alligator, Cranky, messes up the waters flowing in the sewers where they live. Your goal is to dig up the dirt (by touching the screen) and making sure the water flows into Swampy�s tub.

Tetriblox is a Tetris-like game but with some interesting innovations. Published by Random Salad Games, it combines classic Tetris with modern graphics and addictive gameplay. You have to make lines by organizing the falling blocks. You have to do this within the playing area. You get more points by creating more lines.

Tetriblox has two game modes and two control schemes. You can play with your buddies on the Web and match scores. The touch and button controls make the game easy to learn. One of the nice things about the game is the save feature.

You don�t have to start all over again; the save allows a player to pick up where they leave off. The game is compatible with tablets. The innovative gravity mode adds a different dimension to the game.

Old time gamers will love Tetriblox, as it harkens back to the days when the game was a hit on DOS. For anyone who has played Tetris before, they will become very comfortable with it. For those who haven�t this game serves as a great introduction. The gameplay is simple but can be very hard to master at the higher levels. This is what makes the game so addictive.

Scramble With Friends Free is one of the most popular word games for the iOS and Android. The gameplay is addictive, and you can literally spend hours playing with your friends. The game was developed by Zynga, the same company that produced Hanging with Friends and Zynga Poker.

The game is easy to learn, but mastering it takes time. The app consists of a board with sixteen Scrabble letter tiles set on a 4×4 grid.
