Coming to the iOS platform, it will surely provide all users with ample fun time without getting one bored.

Developed by BIT-101, this developer has done a commendable job by integrating the finest architecture structure within such a casual game.

The game is so straightforward that there is nothing to talk about until it has been played. So, what does the player actually need to do? Well, nothing apart from tilting the device from time-to-time depending on the situation and saving the stick model before he is crushed to pulp.

The recent new update has the whole game written in OpenGL for improved performance and response over the previous version, while retaining the same basic game looks and even responses like the original. The user-interface has also received a new shiny look with the inclusion of a new Ninja level as well as a few other advanced levels.

Overall, Falling Balls is a great game and will keep players hooked endlessly without welcoming the boredom factor. A big thumbs-up to the developer and their initiative for bringing such a well integrated game for free on iOS.

It won numerous applauds for its shift in gameplay compared to the existing Ultima series and with a much better, concrete story-line. Initially released in 1985 for the Apple II, the developers worked and made the game available on more than 12 platforms as the time went by.

Developed and published by Origin Systems, the game was ranked at No.2 by Computer Gaming World in 1996 on their 'Best Games of all time' list. Even the game's designer, Richard Garriott considers this to be his personal favorite.

Ultima IV picks up from where the previous three Ultima titles left. Players are put in the city of Britannia, which is under the rule of the British. Instead of going out to finish an evil force, players are required to focus on the development of a more virtuous life and become more of a spiritual leader, setting an example for the people of Britannia.

The game follows the protagonist's struggle to understand and practice the Eight Virtues, that is, 1. Honesty, 2. Compassion, 3. Valor, 4. Justice, 5. Honor, 6. Sacrifice, 7. Spirituality and 8. Humility. Once the eight virtues are understood well by the character, collecting all the needed artifacts and entering the dungeon called Stygian Abyss, the player gains access to the Codex of Ultimate Wisdom, thus becoming an Avatar.

Moreover, players also have the option to interact with non-playing characters from time-to-time. Unlike previous versions, where the NPCs just gave a one-lined canned answer, in Ultima IV the interaction not only is vast, but players can also choose the topic of conversation for appropriate and accurate answers.

Overall, the Ultima IV is a great game and will hook players to their PCs for a long time with the varied gameplay and missions available. There are various versions available for specific platforms, so make sure you are downloading the correct file.

Pull up your socks gamer, for it is time to hit the battlefield with all power. Warzone 2100 is the game to be played, if the hunger for war rages inside out with every passing moment.

Developed by Pumpkin Studios and published byEidos, this game is worth the time invested in total gameplay. It was originally released as a commercial offering for Windows PC and Playstation in 1999, but on December 6, 2004, the source code and most of the data was published under the GNU (General Public License). This made all gamers around the globe very, very happy.

The game puts players in the midst of the 21st Century, when almost the entire civilization has been wiped out due to nuclear strikes. Most of the survivors encountered are organized in groups in order to fight-for-survival with all their might; among them one group called themselves "The Project". The Project is formed by people who have undertaken the job of rebuilding their civilization using pre-war technology.

Coming to the most important aspect and that being Gameplay, Warzone 2100 is very fluid and has a very nice touch to it on the whole (using the iViS 3D graphics engine developed by Sam Kerbeck of Eidos Interactive Ltd. ).The game world is mapped by a grid, vehicles tilt to meet hilly terrain, gun projectiles can be realistically blocked by steep mountains. The camera is free-moving and can zoom in and out, rotate, and pan up or down while navigating the battlefield, making the whole gameplay feel great and easy to navigate.

The game is one of the best open-source games available in the gaming scene now. Coming from a developer like Eidos, Warzone 2100 certainly lives up their gaming poweress and action hungry gamers will really not find reasons to complain. Making it a GNU release, the game is now playable on Windows PC, Mac and Linux.

Once upon a time transferring video clips between the Net, your hard drive and DVDs was a complicated matter of deciphering format compatibility and, quite frankly, trial or error. But now, aTube Catcher has got it sorted with free software. All you do is copy and paste the URL in or drag the clip, and wow-kabang! You have a copy on your hard drive.

It’s quick to download and incredibly easy to use. It should detect the clip you are looking at or if it doesn’t (i.e. you’ve got a number of windows open), you can cut and paste the URL. Then just click to go, and in about as much time as it takes to play the clip, you’ll have it saved on your hard drive.

aTube Catcher downloads videos from various social web sites, you name it and it’s likely to do be able to do it. This nifty video clip catcher can also export the multimedia content to your mobile, iPhone or devices like the iPad.

The software transfers directly to DVD's by simply dragging any video file in almost any input format on the window. The clips are converted automatically and recorded to any DVD+/-R/DVD+/-RW media without a third party software. It includes a built-in Screen Recorder to capture what you see on your screen and lets you record and burn video chat sessions from Windows Live Messenger, Yahoo Messenger and DVD movies.

It’s also good to know aTube Catcher supports all types or regions of DVDs. You name it, it virtually supports all formats; 3GP, 3G2, AVI, XVID, MP4, MP3, MP2, WMA, WMV, GIF, FLAC, WAV, PSP, MPG, VOB, OGG, MOV and AVI. (You can use it the same way to download audio).

There are so many possibilities such as burning video records of Webinars and online meetings or creating video/audio presentations using videos from both your web and hard drive.

Whether you want to put a copy of your short film on your phone, record and distribute videos of web conferences or just keeping a pleasure file of clips you’ve found on the Net and love, aTube Catcher has a video capturing covered.

This time around, the game is free and very well integrates with games for Windows Life.

Developed by Microsoft Studios, Flight is one of the best in the simulator series and does the job really well. Instead of the boring environment, this time around the developers have incorporated the beautiful scenic locales of Hawaii. Allowing users to hover around the beautiful beaches and the likes.

Initially, players will be blessed with two aircrafts, namely, the Icon A5 and Stearman. Both of them have a unique feel to their flight. While the Icon is smooth and easy, the Stearman is more of a stiff challenge, especially during takeoffs due to the high-torque range of the propeller.

Right now the free content of Microsoft Flight can be divided into a missions, challenges, and the very popular free-flight mode. Players can also hunt for aerocaches (like an airborne scavenger hunt) or look on a local airfield's job board to provide scenic tours of Hawaii or perform cargo runs. The modes are expansive, but playing the game and getting through with the jobs is very easy and not time consuming at all. These missions also include short tutorial missions on the whole, providing players with the basics to fly, land, and take-off.

The game boasts of some major in-app purchases of different sets of flights, but regular players can enjoy it without any in-app purchases and play to their hearts content. Overall, it's a great simulation game with up-to-date graphics and a slick user-interface on the whole. Microsoft Flight is a must have for old-time fans, as well as newbie pilots. Fly on!

Ever been playing a video game and thinking "I can do better?"

Now you can let you imagination run wild with software that allows you to make your own games.

Construct 2 is ideal for those just getting into designing games or those who want to get their idea up and running quickly. It promises stability and reliability in its graphics, as you gradually build your skills.

The software offer a complete manual, numerous tutorials and a community where you can help and find some support. Be a regular in their forum and network.

Another great thing about Construct 2 is that you don't have to publish through the makers, Scirra. Beware of similar free software where you can lose control of your ideas and copyright.

All in all I loved Construct 2's retro feel with modern smoothness - it's all about the characters, their world and situations you create, rather than being overwhelmed by the reality and technology.

With the free edition of Construct 2 you get sprites, sound effects and original music (with certain limitations on the number used) for you to add to your games and up to 100 events with a maximum of 4 layers on each layout. It might not seem like much but in essence it does allow the user to create simple games from start to finish just like this one, Space Blaster; all right on your computer without any programming knowledge necessary. Like the paid versions you get Box2D Physics Engine, Intuitive User Interface, you can upload it to browsers like Chrome or play offline. Another little extra I love is putting it on Facebook and going viral.

Family Tree Builder (FTB), the official software from MyHeritage, lets you create great visual family tree with thousands of names, dates and locations. The FTB also searches MyHeritage database looking for family tree profiles that are possible matches among other users. If there appears to be a match in someone else’s tree it will inform you and give you the option to confirm and contact the new branch of the family. So get connected today.

There are some really fun extra features on MyHeritage too - you can find which ancestor your facial features look like with the Look-a-Like Meter. Or you can play around and find out which celebrity you look like with Celebrity Morph. You can also make a collage of family member organized in graduating facial features.

With MyHeritage users are not just sticking names and dates on a tree but encouraging family members to get involved; sharing, uploading videos and pictures, and editing and adding to their own profile.

Someone unexpected in your extended family may know something about 'grandma’s first marriage' or 'cousin Tom who was last seen on a boat to Tasmania', that you don't know. It's kind of like a traditional family tree/research software backed up with the social networking features.

I love the idea of tracking down a family member and not just meeting them, but seeing videos made by their kids and getting updates about their lives.

It's important to remember security when posting pictures and information about people, MyHeritage includes several security measures and it could also be considered a child-safe version of Facebook because you control the access.

Other reasons to download MyHeritage include maps which pinpoint where you family is around the world, help with languages and translations, forums and secure emails.

With currently over 60 million users MyHeritage is one of the largest social networking and genealogy sites in the world today. MyHeritage is also available on iPhone and Android, for more information, check out there blog.

The game takes on a very minimalist approach when it comes to the visuals and comes with no 3D realism thrown-in. It is simply meant to be played and enjoyed.

Developed by Adept Software, the game is on the lines of the <del datetime="2012-02-21T13:19:07+00:00">Greek</del> Norse God, Thor. This is a top-view game created by Ron Davies and published by Software Creations, way back in 1993.

The games follows the path of Thor, to reclaim the Midgard (<del>Greek</del> Norse mythological land of Odin) for his father. To complete the entire adventurous journey, Thor is blessed with the mythical hammer Njolnir. The progress of the game is heavily dependent on the numerous puzzle-solving and the slash fighting techniques.

The game puts the players in various situations, such as, countryside, sneaking past city guards, and finally entering the resting place of different Gods. Like many old-time classic games, even here, Thor gains additional powers with progress and even the hammer and armors get various upgrades when he is able to defeat one of the three nemesis. Players are also watched by Odin throughout the game, so if the hammer strikes an innocent bystander, Thor gets a disapproval by the king of the gods, Mjolnir.

God of Thunder have different nuances as well, with very well thought tounge-in-cheek humor thrown-in. It features several references to the Marvel Comics book character Thor, with the idea of the Odinsleep, Loki's costume and a quick mention that Thor should have his own comic book.

Overall, a classic game which might/will not appeal to the younger generations, but for those who grew on the Windows 93 PC will just relish this offering and delight in the gameplay.

P.S - The license agreement of the game allows for one copy for personal use and one for backup only. The software is protected by United States copyright laws and international treaty provisions, and users cannot lease, sell, distribute or copy the "look and feel" of the game.

It is not for the hi-def gaming fans, but for point-and-click enthusiasts with a love for objectives, hours of endless fun, and a bit of strategic thinking thrown-in here and there.

Created by Illwinter, the same developer who have churned out exciting titles like Dominions, Dominions II, Dominions III and is currently busy updating Conquest of Elysium 3, the game is surely a gem.

Conquest of Elysium II puts you in a war situation with the sole motive of preparing for any invasion coming your way. The way you conquer locations greatly depends on your income and resources in the game. So its a no-brainer - the more, the better. In the game, Citadels are special structures that help in the recruiting of units and their deployment. The citadels range from castles, wooden watchtowers, and even large cities.

<img class="aligncenter" size-medium wp-image-5158" src="http://www.frostclick.com/wp/wp-content/uploads/2011/10/coe_main.jpg" alt="5030_117721231277_66679206277_3290323_3461274_n" width="300" height="269" />

Conquest of Elysium II offers a rich game-play and up to twenty different character classes to choose from; each one sporting their own attributes and special abilities. So your choices vary from anything from the Demonologist, who collects human sacrifices and uses this ability to bring together the demons he can summon, to the Enchanter, who can bring the non living back to life. The other characters include, Blood-Thirsty Vampires, Insane Necromancers, Brutal Barbarians, Sinister Shamans and more.

Every character offers its advantages, but the drawbacks are no less evident. So the integral part of the entire game-play circles around the resources available in hand to the player, and the strategies being adopted according to the given situation.

The gaming environments are not very graphic-intensive, but has the entire old-school arcade gaming style written all over it. Something the gamers of the 90's era would certainly love. And all of this action, including multiplayer support for up to 8 players (only hotseat, no LAN), immersible strategies, is available for free. Give this game a try and get to know how one of the greatest fantasy series came to be.

So if you want to join the crowds but iCloud is not your thing, try out Ubuntu One.

Developed by Ubuntu One, the quality of the app is guaranteed and so are the updates thanks to which the app works surprisingly good, without any hassles. Plus the entire sign-up and sign-in process is quick as 1-2-3.

Ubuntu One is a personal cloud storage account that gives user instant access to their digital life 24x7. All this while being seamlessly integrated and showing up with some crucial slew of cloud services, such as sync, sharing and streaming. Unlike other cloud storage options out there, where you need to wander around to locate files, this one comes with a very straightforward and to-the-point user-interface, remaining unified across all OS platforms.

To use Ubuntu One, all users need to have a Ubuntu One account. So, once signed up, you get access to a 5GB storage for free. Here, the user can store files, documents, photos, presentations... with ability to access them anytime, from anywhere. This really makes life easy for users with a ton of files, but with a space crunch issue.

Ubuntu One scores big on a particular front and that is the sharing of files with colleagues, friends, family and others. What really acts as the icing on the cake is the ability to modify the document by the recipient, making the collaboration with colleagues on a presentation quite easy. It also supports various platforms such as Windows, Ubuntu, Android and iOS. This truly makes this a very accessible app.

Ubuntu One also allows for seamless streaming of music, but that comes at an extra subscription cost of $3.99/month or $39.99/year. The music streaming service allows users to access their music files stored in the cloud right on their smartphone or a web connected device. This is not all, the music streaming service gives users access to an extra 20GB storage for storage of all files. People who are not very fond of music can just upgrade to extra storage, capped at $2.99 per 20GB storage.

Ubuntu One was initially launched in May 2009 to provide sustainable revenue for Ubuntu, the world’s most popular free operating system, which is commercially backed by Canonical. Overall, a great cloud storage services and works really great in every way. If you are space-crunched, then Ubuntu One could just become your new best-friend.
