Contract Killer: Zombies

This time we bring something for the power-hungry gamer on both Android and iOS ecosystem in the form of Contract Killer: Zombies, an FPS game with highly detailed visuals and a very intuitive gameplay mechanism. The game takes its cue from the original Contract Killer version, but this time replacing human targets with brain-dead, flesh hungry and blood thirsty zombies. Brought to us by Glu, who have created some very visually intensive games in the past, the developers have raised the bar yet again with Contract Killer: Zombies.

Brothers in Arms: Global Front

Time to tie-your-boots, load the guns and stack up the ammunition. iOS is being invaded by Brothers in Arms: Global Front; a franchisee game which for the first time ever is being offered for free. The game has been developed by Gameloft, the makers who have produced visually appealing titles such as N.O.V.A 2, Backstab, Assassins Creed: Altairs Chronicles and a host of other enthralling gaming titles. Brothers in Arms: Global Front certainly lives up the prior releases and the growing legacy of Gameloft.

Return To Castle Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory!

Attention all FPS lovers. Its time to pick-up your weapons, choose your allies, and gear up for war. We are talking about the iconic FPS, Return To Castle Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory. Developed by Activision, the same developer who has churned out impressive titles such as Driver, Driver 3, Call Of Duty series, Crash Bandicoot series, just to name a few. Enemy Territory was supposed to be an expansion pack to the RTCW game series, but a problem owing to the single-player aspect led to Enemy Territory being released as a free and open-source standalone game on 29th May, 2003.

Xonotic

A direct successor of the Nexuiz Project, Xonotic is a free, open source (GPL) shooter game that serves as the updated and much improved version of the former. After internal disagreements plagued the Nexuiz Project, several developers took a stand and vowed to remake the game from scratch. Creating one that's even better and ensuring that it'll remain free with an open source license. The game was created by a team of "players, developers, and artists who enjoy learning and refining their skills through contribution and collaboration with other players from around the globe." Thanks to this effort, this forked version features much of what gamers could hope for. With stunning graphics, engaging gameplay, great maps and a host of other features; Xonotic is slowly shaping up to becoming an excellent game.

Contract Killer

Contract Killer is one of those games you try out once and never put down again for a very long time. In the game you play, well, a contract killer. As an assassin you take hit assignments initially for the government but fall from your superiors graces and end up taking assignments from various shady people. Some people might get bothered by the game premise, but it's still a very addictive game to play. It was created by Glu Games, Inc., who promises to keep updating the game and adding more content and levels while keeping it all free.

Gun Bros

If you have an affinity for shooter games where you get to be the hero, shoot tons of bad guys and eventually save the day, Gun Bros is for you. The storyline isn't much, in fact, it's as predictable as can be. You're simply a gun toting special soldier who is bent on carrying your mission: "to protect the cosmos from the Tyrannical Oppressors of Life known as T.O.O.L." Armed with tons and tons of guns, you have to defend yourself against waves of enemies. They start off quite easy to kill but as you progress, you'll encounter bigger bad guys that'll test your skills. The game is offered absolutely free and plays on your iOs and Android devices beautifully.

eXtermination (Panic Arts)

There's nothing like a good zombie game to spend your afternoon's on and eXtermination is among the long list of such finds that's invading the indie gaming world for some time now. Created by Panic Arts, this zombie apocalypse is a horror platformer that incorporates great fun and interesting game play to create a more than just entertaining adventure. Being a fairly new game, it isn't perfect yet it still manages to engage gamers in a full-on entertaining zombie romp. With two game modes available, several weapons at your disposal and tons of zombies for target practice, this is quite a fun game to check out.

Tiny Ball vs. Evil Devil

Here's another cool game to add to your favorite iOS device. Tiny Ball vs. Evil Devil is an interesting physics based game that tests out your aiming and strategy skills. The objective is to help the little blue ball get his ship back from the evil red guy. Developed by iTankster, the game is currently available as a free download over at the App Store. Thanks to its colorful graphics and fun yet challenging gameplay, you're guaranteed to keep playing this game for hours on end.

Dead Cyborg 1: The Beginning of the Death

Dead Cyborg might seem like just another first person shooting game, but it actually has its charm. Developed by Barathe Endre, only the first episode is finished so far but it's been receiving good reviews since it first came out. This science fiction shooter game is offered at a pay-what-you-want download. All the donations are used to help fund the development of the succeeding episodes; with each episode geared at providing at least 2-3 hours worth of gameplay. The game works on a variety of systems including the top three: Linux, Windows and Mac and is certainly worth checking out.
