P.R.: Moment In Time

Aiming to bring you the freshest talent from around the world, Cult Classic Records (CCR) serves us P.R.’s Moment In Time. Pedram Rouzbehani, better known as “P.R.”, is a Sydney-based producer who translates his love for music, life experiences, and cultural upribringing into tasteful sonic offerings. Drawing inspiration from his environment, P.R. describes his sound as “feel good music” that fuses multiple genres of current and past trends. His musical influences include DJ Premier, Nujabes, Kanye West, and Alchemist, to name a few.

Badbadnotgood: BBNG2

As creepy as the cover image is, the sound that emanates from this album is nothing short of exquisite techno dub jazz. BBNG2 is an awesome mix of original and rehashed tracks from such favorites like My Bloody Valentine and even Kanye West. Generally classified as "jazz," this is nowhere near your Grandpappy's jazz music thanks to a deeply wrapped thumping bass, electronics and a whole lot of hip hop/electro vibe. The songs on here feature a lateral transformation of jazz music; giving the sound a more modern and interesting feel.

Black ELement: A Major Minority

I first had the chance to listen to this album last year and it went straight to my iPod because of Black ELement's innate energetic talent to rap and to make really good hip hop. It truly stands out from the hundreds of wanna-be-rappers we've had to listen to in order to make our FrostWire featured picks every month.
