{"id":77746,"date":"2013-09-06T09:01:39","date_gmt":"2013-09-06T13:01:39","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.frostclick.com\/wp\/?p=77746"},"modified":"2013-09-05T18:40:49","modified_gmt":"2013-09-05T22:40:49","slug":"neon-hitch-happy-neon","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.frostclick.com\/wp\/index.php\/2013\/09\/06\/neon-hitch-happy-neon\/","title":{"rendered":"Neon Hitch: Happy Neon"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>While everyone is waiting for <em>Beg, Borrow, and Steal<\/em>, it might be a good option to check out <em>Happy Neon<\/em> first.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Neon Hitch<\/strong>, the self-proclaimed gypsy who&#8217;s slowly making waves in the hip-hop world as the new &#8220;it&#8221; collaborator, shows a soulful side via her new EP.\u00a0She glides through existentialism in style, thanks to the eclectic harmonies by producer <strong>Happy Perez<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/rEEQ87eqlHE\" height=\"315\" width=\"560\" allowfullscreen=\"\" frameborder=\"0\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>The Eastern-tinged &#8220;<strong>Pink Fields<\/strong>&#8221; kicks off the collection, and sees Neon going to her special place (pink fields, that is) in a deliciously trippy way.<\/p>\n<p>This is followed by the &#8216;honeymoon&#8217; anthem &#8220;<strong>Midnight Sun<\/strong>&#8221; that&#8217;s just downright explicit. Lyrics like &#8220;he wanna f*ck me like a rockstar&#8221;? Blunt as the midnight sun.<\/p>\n<p>Edgy productions of &#8220;<strong>The Wizard Believe<\/strong>&#8221; and &#8220;<strong>Jailhouse<\/strong>&#8221; are next, which might probably be some of her darkest material yet. And we&#8217;re not complaining.<\/p>\n<p><object width=\"100%\" height=\"205\" classid=\"clsid:d27cdb6e-ae6d-11cf-96b8-444553540000\" codebase=\"http:\/\/download.macromedia.com\/pub\/shockwave\/cabs\/flash\/swflash.cab#version=6,0,40,0\"><param name=\"allowscriptaccess\" value=\"always\" \/><param name=\"src\" value=\"https:\/\/player.soundcloud.com\/player.swf?url=http%3A%2F%2Fapi.soundcloud.com%2Fplaylists%2F3309678%3Fsecret_token%3Ds-nzrPu&amp;secret_url=true\" \/><\/object><\/p>\n<p>She gets a bit personal and light in &#8220;<strong>Born To Be Remembered<\/strong>&#8220;, the most radio-friendly material in the EP, albeit taking cues from the weight of the previous tracks.<\/p>\n<p>Neon Hitch, when taken seriously, is actually a plausible hitch ride to eargasm.
