CastleVille Legends from Zynga is a trading and economics game that at the same time doubles as a medieval life simulation. This game isn’t as difficult as it sounds, as it comes with the usual quests and crafting you have come to expect from Zynga. But there are elements here that you don’t see in other games.

At its most basic level CastleVille Legends is about gathering resources, turning those resources into products and sell them for profit. Unlike other resource management games, CastleVille Legends places emphasis on character, so one of your earliest resources is Rafael the Woodsman’s home. Once you have completed it he’ll make several axes for you.

Use those axes to chop down trees and bring those logs to the woodshop and turn them into lanterns, ladders or torches. Sell these and you’ll be able to earn coins to create buildings and other structures. However, there’s an extra challenge here because you can’t just sell anything you make. You can only sell the things that Myra the Merchant wants to buy.

This feature means you have to put a lot of thought into the kind of products you will manufacture. In addition there is a limit to how many items you can keep in your inventory, so that’s something you need to consider too. But best of all player to player trading is possible so you can now send your cargo back and forth to buy items from other players around the globe. CastleVille Legends is an addictive game that you’ll have a lot of fun playing.
