CM Security from Cheetah Mobile provides your Android device with protection from viruses, malware and other malicious programs that can infect it. The app provides a great deal of security while remaining easy to use. And even though it is free, CM Security’s efficiency is right up there with the best of them.
The main interface is looks very clean and you should have no problem figuring out the options. The app doesn’t add any notification icon on the bar, but your device’s interface color will change according to the status. Basically the main screen of CM Security is made up of a large button in the middle and a menu button at the upper right.
If you tap the center button the app will scan your device for any threats, and it doesn’t take too long. After the scan is done, usually in 60 seconds or less, CM Security will list all the threats it has found or any vulnerabilities that your device may be facing. You can then have the app resolve the problems one at a time or simultaneously.
Those are the basic functions of CM Security, but it can actually do more as it has a Secure Browsing feature and a Privacy Advisor as well. The default functions of CM Security work fine, as always thought you can make adjustments, and it is even possible to schedule scans on a daily, weekly or monthly basis. There is even a feature to scan SD cards for malicious software. Simply put, this is a full-fledged security program for Android users.
