The WebMatrix is fully optimized for use in open source, and you can use it to install different apps as well as customize them with the codes. Once you’re done you can publish these on your website. What makes WebMatrix unique is that when you work on local projects there will automatically be a companion site in Windows Azure.
You just need to press the “publish” button and the application will sync the sites and save all the changes you make in the cloud. In addition, the tools on WebMatrix are optimized for browsing on mobile and come complete with device emulators, templates and code completion as well.
You can share code by plugging into the Team Foundation Service, CodePlex or GHub, and there are several features that make it easy for anyone to use it. The Team Foundation Service is a particularly good tool for working on code. In addition, there’s remote site editing so you can open and edit remote sites easily.
On its own the WebMatrix is a powerful tool, but it’s made even more so with the presence of extensions. These are freely available and you can use these to enhance the application’s functions and features.
