"Color in a world of monochrome" is the tagline for the thirteenth netBloc compilation release from blocSonic, and there couldn't be a more appropriate way to describe this collection of photos, artwork, and of course fantastic free music.
A feast of visual and audio delights, there's more than enough here to keep you interested for the long haul, and to make you want more.

Looking at the hot blonde on the album cover you would never suspect hearing a strong woman rapping meaningful lyrics over Baltimore club style beats. Kellee Maize is a female rapper whose original hip hop style has already helped her capture the hearts and ears of most Pittsburgh hip hop fans.
Now with her second album "Aligned Archetype" and a bit of help from FrostWire, Kellee is set to conquer the ears of music lovers around world. She has generously decided to distribute the album free under a CC license so her music can get to as many people as possible.
UPDATE: Kellee has already reached over 130,000 downloads via FrostWire and is now officially our most downloaded artist - Congrats!!!

Sleep.Shy’s Galapagos Inn is one of the more unusual online albums to come out of 2009. It is calm, witty and somewhat perplexing in its mix of sweetness and cynicism.
The opening “I nowhere I am” is typical with its switch of upbeat rhythm to classical choir and piano then back. The track “On Why No. 2 Pencils Have Erasers” shows that this band has their hard rock side but when you least expect it…Mood change!

This is the first of the records from Error!Lo-Fi Recording, a very interesting net-label I would like to recommend here.
Lagrima plays interesting and engaging instrumental lo-fi and although there is a certain that-composition-is-so-similar and I-have-heard-it-before syndromes, it's still a recommendable release.
