World of Warriors from Mind Candy is an adventure strategy game that pits the greatest warriors in history against a powerful enemy. There’s no shortage of mobile adventure games, but the combination of action and strategy on this one makes it unique, and the thrill you get from playing Romans, Vikings, Samurai and others is unique.
The game will have you traversing the treacherous Wildlands and collect some of history’s greatest warriors ranging from the Samurai, the Vikings and the Romans, and once you’ve built up an army, take on King Boneshaker and the Skull Army. The game is free to play, and while there are IAPs, you can disable these in your mobile’s settings.
Before you can take on the Skull Army you’ll need to collect the troops and train them. Training takes time, but it’s not overly difficult, and it helps that the game’s graphics and design draw you in. The 3D graphics are some of the crispest on the iOS and make full use of the device’s capabilities, and the sound effects are also good.
But all of that won’t mean anything if the gameplay isn’t any good, so it is great that World of Warriors don’t disappoint. The details of the warriors, first of all, are accurate, and each type has special weapons and moves that you can use to attack opponents. In addition to the warriors, there are special powers and items you can pick up items to gain an advantage.
Finally, your warriors evolve, so the more battles you take part in and win, the more skills they learn, which you’ll need for the tougher fights ahead. A really cool game.
