Launcher for Notification Center by Cromulent Labs is, as the name implies, an app launcher for the iOS that is much easier to use. In essence what the app does is to offer buttons so you can launch apps and perform other actions from your Notification Center, which is a very cool idea.
Launcher also lets you put in your own shortcuts for email, messages and other apps that have URL schemes support. Once you have added them in the notification center the Launcher widget will display these as buttons which you can use to launch the app. Because the focus is on the widget, Launcher doesn’t simply copy the features of other apps.
The biggest advantage that Launcher has is the fact that the Notification Center is everywhere, which allows you to launch your apps anywhere on your device. Once you’ve installed the app and added shortcuts, it’s like having a Home screen in Today view.
Creating shortcuts in Launcher is pretty easy, but its functionality is not limited to that. From the app you can create shortcuts for other tasks like sending messages to your friend, giving directions and so on. Also if you know how to use the URL scheme system you can make Today widget buttons for particular app actions and link them together. What’s even better is when you launch the app it already has shortcuts built in for mail, messaging, calling, place search, obtain directions and so on. Easy to use and very practical, it’s a must if you use a lot of apps.
