Castle Clash is a base building strategy game from developer IGG. In this strategy game you build up an army, attack your enemies, research technology and gather resources and more. It sounds familiar yes, but the gameplay and the graphics are very distinct from others out there.

Fingers of the Sun

Fingers of the Sun‘s 2011 self-titled release pays tribute to the well-loved sea, sand, and uneven tan lines. Hailing from Denver, this psych pop band is composed of Suzi Allegra, Nathan Brasil, Jamie Bryant, Fez Garcia, Marcus the Snail, and Meghan Wilson.

Bitstrips

Bitstrips is a free app that allows you to create cartoon versions of yourself and your friends, and you can share this with them over Facebook. Available for the iOS and Android, the app comes with several well designed cartoons but you can also create your own designs, which is a lot of fun and can even be addictive.

Acoustic piano meets chiptunes. aivi & surasshu collaborate to create a fascinating 10-track album. By fusing their love of video game and mixing different styles, they formed a musical voyage together.

Mike Schpitz & Phys Edison: Paid Time Off

Here’s another raunchy comeback from one of FrostClick’s favorite rapper, Mike Schpitz. After his successful release of Spring Cleaning, which was also featured here in FrostClick, comes another set of fresh hip hop tunes to cap off 2013 in Paid Time Off. Haiing from Topeka, Kansas but is currently based in Chicago, Mike Schpitz is a three-in-one machine who juggles in between a full-time job, being a parent, and rapping.

Kyler England: Noisetrade Sampler

Kyler England walks down new territories in this new Noisterade sampler that features ten tracks of tasteful pop electronica. Based in Los Angeles, CA, singer-songwriter Kyler is a member of the band The Rescues. Kyler’s nuanced songwriting and diverse sonic palate made her tracks easy favorites for TV shows including Vampire Diaries, One Tree Hill, Switched at Birth, the feature film Lucky Ones, to name a few. She also has toured opening for Sting, Annie Lennox, and Kelly Clarkson.

Karma Tree: Always Near

A ‘Karma Tree’ is springing up, and it offers a lot of goodies. Swedish band Karma Tree is serving us up a plateful of tunes (really, a stunning 13 tracks) via its latest release, Always Near. They’re keeping it fairly simple with a squeaky-clean brand of experimental pop-rock — both accessible and eclectic at the same time.
