JekK: One Day

What happens when you put an electronic twist to your run-of-the-mill love songs? JekK‘s debut One Day is the answer, and is the only thing you’ll ever need. Not much is known about the artist himself (except that he’s French), but he sure told a lot about the EP in an interview to Jamendo.

Graffiti Mechanism: Fueled by Emotion

Proc-Records founder and curator Adam Crammond, a k a, Graffiti Mechanism, picked or conceptualized, whichever the case, a rather curious cover for his latest effort Fueled by Emotion. Archetypal digital illustrations and graphic images come to mind when the subject of electronica album art is brought up, so it only rightly elicits a slight shrug that this release features a low-definition, worm's-eye view photo (with mirror effect) of a tree ostensibly taken during a drought. But looks, as the discerning would know, can be deceiving: the seven solid tracks of the album, which was released by Happy Puppy Records, intuitively belie whatever pallidness the cover may come off as having.

Happy Elf “Sexmachine” – free funny electro-pop album

Happy Elf is the performing name of Dutch multi-instrumentalist Jeroen Elfferich. As Happy Elf, Elfferich has released more than ten albums since 1999. He considers his music "electropopmusic," but the truth is that it is a good mix of various styles thrown together with a nice electronic beat. His latest release is "Sexmachine," a five-track mini-album that's all about dreams, sex, love, and relationships. Don't expect a thoughtful and introspective album, though; as the release information says, "[D]on’t take it too seriously: it’s Happy Elf!"

Grace Valhalla: summerCamp

Grace Valhalla is a young French DJ & composer and "summerCamp" is her fourth album. "You'll find many analog sounds, 8bit sounds and guitars in this album. I wanted something warm, a soft music of summer", says Grace Valhalla. Download her Zipped Album or a Torrent file here.
