Misfilter: Magnetize

MAGNETIZE was the debut record of electronic music group Misfilter. From Magnetize’s Jamendo Page: What would become their trademark (weaving a musical tapestry of various electronic music genres) quickly comes evident as the trip-hop and dub influenced “Intro” leads into the frantic jungle rhythms of “Sunshine From The Rain”. Later on in the album the pace slows down with the digital pop-ballad “Lovely”.

Hearts Alive: The Black Sleep

I couldn’t find much information about this hard-core metal band from Helsingborg, Sweden, but from one of their reviews on LastFm (one of the very few in English ), I learned that they’ve recently went through a lead vocalist change and they sound even better then before!

SagaBoy: Evolution – Past

Born in France, raised between Harlem NYC and Dakar, Senegal, living in Atlanta, Georgia, SagaBoy is a producer/songwriter turned hip-hop artist. He is about to release his newest album – Evolution – “Past, Present, Future” and is offering the fist CD, Evolution – “Past” free, under the Creative Commons license through FrostWire.

Nine Inch Nails: The Slip

The Slip is the seventh album by American industrial rock act Nine Inch Nails. The album was released free of cost on May 5, 2008 via digital download on the official Nine Inch Nails website. The album was produced by Trent Reznor alongside Atticus Ross and Alan Moulder. The album features vocals and traditional song structures, unlike its 2008 instrumental predecessor Ghosts I–IV.

Marillion: Happiness is the Road

Happiness is the Road is Marillion’s 15th studio album, released as two separate album-length volumes respectively entitled Essence and The Hard Shoulder. The overall playing time is 110 minutes (116 including a (semi-)hidden track), taking it to double album length. According to the band, the album combines their signature rock sound with “elements of pop, dub and soul and draws influence from artists as diverse as The Beach Boys and Marvin Gaye to Interpol, The Doors, Traffic, Pink Floyd and David Bowie.

Big Buck Bunny

‘Big Buck Bunny’ is a short 3D animation movie created by the Amsterdam based ‘Blender Institute’ and a small international team of creators. After a production period of over six months, this short film premiered in the hip new Amsterdam cinema ‘Studio K’ and is now available for everyone else to freely enjoy and share.
