Desktop Slides is a simple, user friendly wallpaper manager / cycler for Windows. Courtesy of Wallpaper Wide, this application lets you change your wallpapers at specific intervals. If you have a lot of wallpapers but getting tired of manually changing them, this could be what you need. With this program all that wallpaper changing will be automated.
With Desktop Slides you can have the application change your wallpaper every X number of minutes and you can also customize the way your wallpaper is displayed such as tiling, fit to screen, center, etc. This is a nice feature that allows you to get that wallpaper display just right.
The interface is very clean and clear. You can choose where the wallpapers will be loaded from, the duration, and the position. You can also use the application to download wallpapers, and there’s a folder monitoring setting here too. What that means is if the wallpaper’s name is changed or added / removed, you don’t need to reload. You can shuffle the wallpapers to be displayed or filter them by resolution or ratio. Once the app is installed it is just a click away.
Desktop Slides is 100% free and doesn’t come with any features that will slow down your computer. It’s compatible with Windows XP and later. If you love wallpapers and customizing your desktop then this would be just right. There are a lot of other wallpaper managers on the Net, but this one is different thanks to the easy to use interface and the numerous options available.
