RAD Soldiers from Warchest Limited is a strategy game that will have you assembling soldiers and engage in battles against formidable enemies. This is an exciting turn based strategy game, and the unique abilities of your mercenary forces provide you with different ways to beat your opponents.
RAD Soldiers centers around alien rockets that are falling from the heavens, and it’s up to your team of soldiers to make sure that those rockets end up with you and not your opponents. So the set up is basically one rocket, two teams.
The action takes place in several maps which are separated into squares. Your team is made up of six specialists, each one with their own energy bar and skill set. As you engage in battle, your soldiers use up energy and once it’s exhausted for that turn, or you have your team in the position you want, it’s your opponent’s turn to play.
There’s an online multiplayer mode but if you’re new to the game you should begin with the challenge maps where you go up against the AI. This will walk you through the basic game mechanics, and it’s a lot of fun too. As fun as offline mode is, challenging friends and strangers online is even more exciting, and you really have to use tactics to put one over your opponent.
Wining earns you RAD bucks and coins which you can use to add more specialists to your team or upgrade their equipment. With the extra cash you can get grunts, mechanics, healers or snipers depending on what you need.
