Frontline Commando 2 is the sequel to the original smash hit, and now it’s developer Glu Games made sure that its better than ever. This time around there are better graphics and the sound with improved interface on mobile devices for friendlier play.

Unlike other free to play games that are like automated simulations, Frontline Commando 2 is a real game and offers some challenges. This cover shooter has easy to learn game controls, but you still need to fire and aim, and you’ll need to keep tapping to look for cover when those grenades are hurled in your direction. The action can be pretty intense, which is just like in the first game.

The controls may seem overly simple, but it works perfectly for iOS and Android systems, particularly the aiming. Your squad mates are automated, but again that works to your advantage because you don’t have to tell them what to do and just focus on your own thing. In terms of graphics, this is one of the sharpest looking games on mobile today.

Where Frontline Commando 2 succeeds is the gameplay, because even though it can be hectic, there’s none of the sense that things are chaotic. The game also has a PVP mode, which is an asynchronous mode where a player controls of other players’ squad mates or layouts. This is a nice feature that adds another dimension to the game besides the single player mode. If you love cover shooters, Frontline Commando 2 will be right up your alley.
