Science360 is the official app of the National Science Foundation (NSF) for the iPad. With the app you get instant access to engineering and science facts from around the world, as well as captivating images and video. In addition, there are many other features that you’ll find useful such as a news feed.

Science360 is updated regularly so you’ll see a lot of new media whenever you use it, and the news feed is really handy as you’ll be notified of breaking news from all institutions that are backed or associated with the NSF. What makes this app different from others is the fact that all the content is either produced by the NSF or by respected scientists and institutions, ensuring their quality.

Once the app is installed you’ll have access to these resources, and one of the highlights is the series of high quality images available. These are high res images and cover everything from nature to space. The videos are just as fascinating and explore a wide range of topics including the natural world, astronomy, earth science, geology and many others.

The images and videos are numerous but more are being added all the time, and you can share them on Facebook and Twitter. You can also email the images and videos, which is another nice touch. While the app has a lot of features, it’s pretty easy to use thanks to the 360 view, allowing you to pan. And if you want to save images, it just takes one tap.
