Over a decade-long career, electronica artist Lukhash from Poland has amassed an army of online fans. His music often graces the main page of Jamendo.com, and his releases on BandCamp have acquired a staggering amount of paid supporters. On his latest project, Glitch, the artist justifies his hype yet again, with twelve spirited EDM bangers.

The music of Lukhash largely belongs to the little-known chiptune genre – a style of music that uses programmable sounds like the bleeps and bloops of retro gaming systems. The album, thus, carries a special kind of nostalgia for the ones old enough to recall the era of the early personal computers and gaming arcades. The tracks are further adorned with rock guitar riffs, synths, and punchy percussive lines. The result is a sugary and electrifying blend of EDM, that manages to be both danceable and unique. Take for example, All Night Long with its infectious bassline, or the bright and ominous Doomsday. Whether one is an EDM fan or not, Glitch deserves a listen.
