George Watsky: A New Kind of Sexy

George Watsky is a winner of the Youth Speaks Poetry Grand Slam and the Brave New Voices National Slam championships. He has been a featured performer on Russell Simmons Presents Def Poetry on HBO and one of three poets who performed live on FOX during the NAACP Image Awards, among (many, many) others. So why did it take me so long to find out about a guy who have already shared billing with icons such as Stevie Wonder, Beyonce, and Talib Kweli? Wish I knew, but I know that there is no reason why you should wait any longer to get to know him too.

The Revelations feat. Tre Williams: It’s That Time Of Year

Today is the day of last minute free and amazing Christmas music that you can rock to this Holiday season and there is no better way than to hit it off with The Revelations feat. Tre Williams. Their holiday tribute, It's That Time Of Year, comes filled with four gorgeous tracks ready to put you in the right mood. Part R'n'B, part blues, with just a touch of soulful beats it is really a wonderful treat for anyone looking for something more than the holiday hits we have been hearing on the radio for the past month.

ASA Trio: A Love Supreme, Live at Cafe Cultura

Feel like stepping away from reality, even if just for a second; shutting off your cell phone, computer and get lost in some quality jazz sounds; well than here is your chance. A Love Supreme will bring you just that, a combination of piercing guitars, lush drums, and mood-setting organs all packaged with the stunningly gorgeous compositions. The album might include only four tracks, however, as each of them is spanning anything between six to nine minutes, ASA Trio made sure to leave you with well enough sounds to enjoy.

Pioneer One: S01E06: War of the World

Pioneer One is an original series debuting exclusively online through VODO, in partnership with valued members of our unique DISCO (Distribution Coalition). The sixth episode has just been released and it's being currently featured on FrostWire and other distribution partners. Show creators Josh Bernard and Bracey Smith are following their success with The Lionshare to bring a high quality product to audiences without traditional television -- a “TV series without the TV.”

Goodbye Kumiko: My Wild Arms

What is there to say about Goodbye Kumiko? Well maybe the fact that there is nearly nothing I could find on the artists standing behind the album... So let the music speak for itself. My Wild Arms is a wonderful collection of ten tracks, each with it's own flavor. They come in all shapes and sizes and range from the Beatlelesque cuts to chamber-pop sounds with some dream like instrumental and piano additions. The album, recorded in Philadelphia with Bill Moriarty (Man Man, Dr. Dog, et al), is currently offered as a pay what you want/free download from the bands' Bandcamp website, so enjoy every bit of its wonderful chill out sounds.

Captain Stu: Free Music EP

Based in Cape Town, South Africa, Captian Stu has been performing throughout the region ever since 2003. The five piece band brings us some of the most upbeat sounds I heard in a while and with the unique and highly addicting blend of ska, funk, punk, and just a touch of a fresh African flavor, their music will surely bring back all the wonderful days of summer that are slowly getting away. So go ahead and get yourself a little bit of sunshine infused beats of the released in August of 2010 Free Music EP. And yes, just as the title suggests it is yours to enjoy entirely free of charge.

The Willow and The Builder

The Willow & The Builder is an indie folk duo straight from Connecticut. Their music intertwines carefully sculpted melodies with gorgeous lyrics ready to wake up all of the winter spirits from the deep sleep. Released in October 2011, this 8 track self-titled album is filled with mesmerizing sounds of violin, trombone, viola, flute, trumpet, and masterfully sequenced drum additions, that should not be missed by anyone in need for some quality indie intervention!

Jay Mel: You Know

Following his last release, Who Is Jay Mel, also covered within the pages of FrostClick, Jay Mel comes back with yet another addition to his artistic repertoire, this time in a shape of four track EP, You Know. The Youngstown, OH based rapper is certainly raising the bar every time he steps to the microphone (which he is proudly doing since the young age of 15), and this time is proving to be no different.
