EaseUS Partition Manager Free Edition from EaseUS is a disk management software that lets you manage your disk partition and resolve problems with limited disk space. Anytime you add an SSD or a hard disk it has to be partitioned first. With this utility, it will not just partition drives but format and if necessary reformat it too.
EaseUS Partition Manager Free Edition gives you a lot of flexibility. Suppose you move your C disk to an SSD, this tool will let you repartition it. The software is easy to use, and the headings (Copy Disk, Convert Primary to Logical Partition, Convert Dynamic Disk to Basic Disk, Merge Partitions, and Extend System Partition tell you exactly what they will do.
There are also step by step instructions that you can follow. There are also some very useful graphs and data, and there aren’t any large distracting graphics here. Overall, the layout is similar to other disk management utilities so you won’t have problems getting used to it.
It doesn’t have a few features that are found in the paid version such as resize volume with a dynamic disk, command line support or RAID-5 volume repair. But other features such as moving / resizing partition, MBR rebuilding, FAT to NTFS conversion, disk surface test and many others are available in the free version.
EaseUS Partition Manager Free Edition, it should be noted, is free for home use only. Also, the software doesn’t come with free tech support. However, there is a FAQ on their website that you can check out as well as a very active community forum.
