WordBrush is an application for Windows 8 that allows you to draw text on the screen any way you like. Developed by Pointy Stick Apps, this app takes full advantage of Windows 8’s touchscreen capability as it will follow the movement of your finger, so it is like you are painting the words on the screen.

WordBrush is more than a “fun” app though, as it provides support for more than 200 fonts and has a collection of 20 brushes you can experiment with. In addition to this, the app can import images and it is easy to use. Drawing text in different ways is a lot of fun, but there are also several practical uses for WordBrush such as creating different font layouts, adding captions to photos and touching up wallpaper. With this app you can get a lot of the text special effects that used to be available only in high end photo editing programs.

WordBrush is also an ideal app to use if you’re the type who likes to upload images on Facebook, as it will give your pictures a different look. The default settings for WordBrush should suit most users, but you can tinker with it too. In addition the brush stroke size changes according to the speed of your drawing, giving the text a unique look.

WordBrush also has numerous text effects that you can use to spice up the image, and you can mix and match them to add style. Once you are done tinkering you can share the finished image with your friends.
