Mushrooms Suck by Jupiter Skydive – a high energy dance/electronica

Just recently I came across some tracks from this album on thesixtyone.com and couldn't resist digging more. Mushrooms Suck is a very energetic compilation of breakcore/electro/industrial/drum 'n' bass tracks that will just keep your head moving. It is Jupiter Skydive' (Nick) second (out of three) albums and, in my opinion, the best. Every track of the album is different and interesting - my favorite is "Off Road Ice Cream Truck", but it is a close call.

Ray Garrido – “Tropicotrip”

The Breathe compilations have become an anthology series that I look forward to with anticipation. However, the Breathe netlabel is also getting into single artist collections with this luscious album by Mexican multi-instrumentalist Ray Garrido. Tropicotrip is an exotic journey that is part hip-hop, part lounge, and very spacey.

Cologne Commons – Second Free Creative Commons Music Compilation

Cologne Commons free music festival opens today in Germany's Rhine. The gathering is to bring many netlabels, musicians, artists, and business developers to the weekend long conference and then a party in Cologne. This compilation is a selection of some of the music featured by Cologne Commons. Make sure to check out their first release here if you will like this one.

I Have Clones presents “Music 2.0” – a CC licensed electronic hard core album

His genre of choice - Electronica / Screamo - is not very popular on today's music scene, but he is getting many positive comments on this social networking websites praising him for being unconventional and innovative. EnoughRecords: Retork

"Retork" is one of the first releases of a Portuguese netlabel called EnoughRecords. The label concentrates on promoting electronica, IDM, postrock, industrial, noise, glitch, drone and dark ambient music, but they say they won't limit themselfs to any particular genre or guideline. Their plan is "simply release soothing sounds, emerging landscapes, from Portugal, Europe, World, into the cyberspace for whomever will listen", for free. "Retork" is a compilation album put together in response some ignorant people claiming that "netlabel artists aren't real artists. netlabel music isn't real music" and it featuring tracks by Mosaik, Aisth, Kilowatts, Sense, Makunouchi Bento, Duncan Avoid, Xhale, Julien Neto, Kschzt, Khonnor, Quobe, Fyzix, Sinespree and Nullsleep.

Dynamoe: In the Wake of Time

Dynamoe is a quite unique electronica/rock band from Denmark. They've met almost by accident in 1997, when both Giovanni Campagna and Dennis Lee were signed by the same label. After a log chat, they've discovered they have so many ideas in common that working together is almost a given... "In the Wake of Time" is the band's third full album, preceded by "Coming Home" in 2004 and "Jump Start" in 2001 - all are available for donation/free download at www.dynamoe.com.

The Kyoto Connection

The Kyoto Connection plays chilled out electro-pop mixed with a generous amount of Japanese sounds. Their 2008 release titled The Kyoto Connection II is now free and online. While the Japanese influence was not quite as dominant as I expected it to be, their music is still full of unexpected surprises in the engaging electronic arrangements.
