Juanitos is an exotic rock-n-roll band from France. This EP is a great chilled out mixture of 70s dance, funk with a touch of reggae and dub. Just listening to the first beats makes you feet move. We couldn't find much about the creators, but the EP has been mastered by Stuart Robertson, a songwriter, pianist and producer. I came across Los Sundayers searching Jamendo for Latin music and I found myself listening to the whole album with great pleasure. One of the albums reviewers, nanito, wrote they've done "a great work indeed blending reggae, dub and ska with elegant cuts and tempo switching, all wrapped around a quite colorful interpretation" and I couldn't agree more. Every track is a bit different with its own distinct feel, but they are all dynamic, full of energy and fun - it must be a great experience to see this group perform live. Read More »
Drunk Souls is a totally independent fresh Reggae/Rock/Funk band from France. Most of their songs sound chill & fun, but there are definitely some dark compositions. The lyrics are always very insightful, meaningful and strong, oftentimes talking about tolerance and peace. I find the ever-present bass and the clean vocals to intensify the experience even more, but check them out for yourself.
