Neon Hitch: Happy Neon

While everyone is waiting for Beg, Borrow, and Steal, it might be a good option to check out Happy Neon first. Neon Hitch, the self-proclaimed gypsy who’s slowly making waves in the hip-hop world as the new “it†collaborator, shows a soulful side via her new EP. She glides through existentialism in style, thanks to the eclectic harmonies by producer Happy Perez.

Daniel Greenwood: Goldsmoor

Goldsmoor is a hit goldmine, the one of the recent releases from the wildly-tasteful British music machine. Coming forth in the vein of Ed Sheeran, it’s not hard to adore how Daniel Greenwood crafts his music: smooth, heartfelt, and consciously ostentatious – but that naturally comes with the excitement and the youthful exuberance that comes with being a normal 20 year old.

Birdview Crew: June EP – a massive collection of interesting beats

Birdview Crew is a musical project made up of some of the most creative underground beat makers and producers around. The collective promises to drop an album every month and for the month of June 2012, they're delivering this instrumental ambient beauty. The compilation, aptly titled June, features 22 tracks. Showcasing a mix of dub, techno, ambient, electronica, fusion, hiphop and experimental; it's one lively mix that's perfect for the ears.

Howl: Happy Valley

Age is no excuse not to make a great record, just ask Howl. This little electro, ambient project is helmed by 18 year old Josh Banham aka Howl. This isn't his first piece either as he's been releasing several mini compilations for awhile. Recorded between October 2011 and July 2012, Happy Valley is a collection of tracks "about dreams and songs about love and songs about dying," according to the artist. This is actually his first non-digital release. Each piece of the physical CD is handprinted, although listeners can also grab the digital record at a name-your-price option.

Action News Team: How To Defend Yourself Against Fresh Fruit

Action News Team is as eclectic as can be with their new record, How to Defend Yourself Against Fresh Fruit. The album comes with a host of blues, rock, jazz and alternative punk sounds that seem tossed inside one giant blender and turned into a smoothie. The band hasn't been sitting idly, in fact they've released about 12 compilations and singles since last year on BandCamp. This is the latest from the roster and the second one to be featured here in the blog. You'll discover a world of boozy dance club vocals, wailing guitars as well as 70s inspired Doors vibe circling all around.

All India Radio: Free Me (Remixes & Outtakes)

All India Radio is a four piece crew from the land down under. Even if you've never heard of them, chances are you might have encountered their songs from TV shows like CSI: Miami, One Tree Hill or Australia's premiere series, Bondi Rescue. They've released 8 albums since 2000 and continue to impress as well as win over more listeners thanks to their ambient sound. Their mix of hypnotic downbeat electronica serves as a lush soundscape that listeners can easily get lost in. Free Me (Remixes & Outtakes) contains a collection of released/remixed and previously unreleased songs that's offered by the boys for free.
