Pirates Love Daisies

Pirates Love Daisies, from game developer GSkinner is a free tower defense game for Windows 8 where you have to run afoul of Davey Jones, who is sending in his forces to steal your resources. Overall a fast paced tower defense play with plenty of game modes and maps to keep you occupied.

The Velvet Chameleon: I/O

Roaring with distinguished sounds inspired by a Radiohead, Jack White, John Mayer, and Queens of the Stone Age, The Velvet Chameleon‘s latest release is a solid package ready to hit the radio waves. Simply titled I/O, the five-track collection aims to blend drive and structure with off-beat melodies and rhythms.

Jane Austen: Mansfield Park

The most acute character studies are always in the classic texts, especially when you try reading (or revisiting) Mansfield Park. Though dame Jane Austen has found her fans in novels such as Pride and Prejudice and Sense and Sensibility, Austenites always had a divided opinion in this particular text, most notably due to its lead’s lack of instant appeal.

Pop rock has returned to its irresistible form, thanks to Jody Aaron. An accomplished songwriter, Jody performs some of his own compositions when not busy penning tunes for others. His debut EP Rivers, which he recently released, is one good mixed bag of treats; kudos to Scott Matthews for producing.

PlanetSide 2

PlanetSide 2 is the follow up to PlanetSide, and Sony Entertainment Online has upped the ante with this one. While the game features the same world and groups, the world is much bigger and the battles are more epic in nature. The action is also more frenetic and yet is still accessible to new players.
