The Oh Hellos: Through the Deep, Dark Valley

If you need some cheerful music where you can sing along and simply be happy, take a listen to The Oh Hellos. Siblings, Tyler and Maggie Heath along with some friends, join together to create this remarkable indie folk, alternative concept album of sorts. According to the duo, the record is meant to be listened to straight; all of it in one sitting and enjoyed entirely. Through the Deep, Dark Valley is an 11-track album sprinkled with sweet and happy indie folk sounds. Although there are plenty of themes and subjects explored in the lyrics, most of it is about faith and God. Filled with charming tracks, it's an album that cleanses and refreshes.

Camden: Totally Fine

Totally Fine is ‘totally’ ramped up compared to their previous EP and it ‘totally’ works. Three very strong tracks guide this EP straight to the repeat setting. Although Camden’s sound can simply be thrown into a the indie alternative rock genre, there’s something that sets Camden aside. Perhaps it’s their ability to blend everything just right, I can almost see the sound waves dancing away together as if it were their high school prom.

Sonic Dash

Sonic Dash from Sega is an endless runner game, and while it’s true that there are a lot of these on the iOS, this is more than just a Temple Run clone. The graphics are very impressive and gameplay is very smooth. Here you control the blue hedgehog as he goes through many of the obstacles in the game, and it’s a lot of fun.

I’m Dirty Too: The Downhill Dive

When you put on I’m Dirty Too, you wouldn’t think there’s only two people behind the music. Duo Zac Brown and drummer Jess Gowrie make up the whole band. Hailing from Sacramento, California; the pair first met in 2002 but it wasn’t until 2009 when they got together to start playing music. After unsuccessfully looking for possible bassists and vocalists, they’ve decided to retain their status as a duo. That decision might be the best thing they’ve made music-wise, The Downhill Dive contains solid rock tracks that will make The White Stripes step up the game a bit.
